3. Made a 1 inch frame.

4. Gridded 4 boxes with ½ inch grid.

5. Finished your homework and turned it in.

6. Attempted a second grid with shading??

1 inch Frame:You need these supplies:

~ Paper from corner

~ Ruler

~ Pencil

~ Scissors

~ 1 inch grid image and grid to draw

Making a 1 inch frame

Objective: You will use observation skills in order to draw using a grid.

DRILL:

1. Get a small piece of paper from the corner of your table.

2. We will all make a one inch frame. Why?

1- inch frame steps:

1. Get a small piece of paper from corner of table.

2. Fold your piece in half.

3. Take the pink frame that Miss Gauger made as templates. Fold it!

4. Place the folds on top of each other.

5. Trace the rectangle.

6. Cut it out.

7. Put frame in envelope to keep forever!

Homework Due Monday1. Cut out 2 magazine images.

2. Glue them into your sketchbook.

3. Draw them. (Grid one)

4. 50 point grade- 25 points each

5. -10 points a day.

6. 10pts XC for extra image if late.

7. 2 pts XC per extra image if one time.

8. SKETCHBOOKS DUE IN BOX BY next FRIDAY.

Objective: You will use measuring skills in order to draw a ½ -inch grid in 2 sections.

DRILL:

1. What is a contour line?

2. Look at your image. Choose your 2 most difficult squares. If finished choose a new image to draw a new 1 inch grid on.

3. We will draw a ½ inch grid in those sections.

Tips for gridding well:

A contour line is an outline. (The inside and outside lines.)

Steps for drawing a 1-inch GRID1. Cut out image.2. Trace image (the outline of the rectangle)

where you are going to draw it.3. Mark every inch on the horizontal axis at

the top and bottom.4. Mark every inch on the vertical axis on

the left and right side.5. Connect your lines.6. Make your 1-inch marks on your

drawing, too and connect the lines.7. Number the vertical and letter the

horizontal.
