detected by ultrasound at CWMH

To determine the patients demographic

backgrounds from their medical records

To identify trends that may exist betweenliver abscess in the population study

and their demographic backgrounds

INTRODUCTION -Liver abscess is a pus filled area in the

liver due to acute or chronic localized.infection leading to tissue destruction

METHODOLOGY A 4 year retrospective study was conducted

.for the period 2006 to 2009 - .A Cross sectional Survey design was employed

A total of 657 patient records were sent for

diagnosis of liver abscess during the

ultrasound and laboratory tests

Data Management Epidata and PASW

.software were used for data analysis

Database and the Medical Records
