    To identify trends that may exist betweenliver abscess in the population study

    INTRODUCTION -Liver abscess is a pus filled area in the

    liver due to acute or chronic localized.infection leading to tissue destruction

    3 types.1

    Pyogenic abscess.2 Amoebic abscess.3 Fungal abscess

    METHODOLOGY A 4 year retrospective study was conducted

    .for the period 2006 to 2009 - .A Cross sectional Survey design was employed

    A total of 657 patient records were sent for

    diagnosis of liver abscess during the

    .a standard data compilation form

    Inclusion criteria positive cases in

    ultrasound and laboratory tests

    Database and the Medical Records

    CONCLUSION The prevalence of Liver abscess at CWMH from 2006 to 2009

    the occurrence of liver abscess during

    last four years?
