Aim

The aim of the project is to promote active aging among 50+ generation and to support social reintegration of already retired people by means of using modern ICT tools and involvement in volunteer activities.

Learning how to use social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Skype and blogs) is very important in the current society, especially for communication with peers and the young generations. In order to prevent passivity or social exclusion after/during retirement, participants will learn the importance of building social networks and doing volunteering activities.

The methodology behind…Storytelling as a method of teaching/learning

Each adult will be teamed a young volunteer (based on criteria such as language, common interests and other similarities etc.). The dyads will go together in the city center, where the young volunteers will present the cultural heritage of Craiova to the participants.

During the five 5 working days, the technical workshops will be alternated with storytelling activities done together with the young volunteers. The activities done together with the young people will be framed as a type of volunteering.

The personalization of the Memory Box will play a very important role in the storytelling process because it will combine artistic expression of memories and feelings with verbal storytelling.
