Delaware City Schools Distinguished Hall of FameDelaware City Schools Distinguished Hall of Fame is a combined program to recognize alumni of the district who have excelled in career achievement, athletics and the performing and visual arts.

CriteriaAll DCS graduates are eligible for induction into the Distinguished Hall of Fame. This includes graduates from Delaware High School, Willis High School and Rutherford B. Hayes High School. Alumni are eligible for induction 10 years after the year of graduation.

Distinguished Service Awards are presented to employees, coaches and friends of the district who have demonstrated a superior commitment to furthering the goals of Delaware City Schools through exemplary service. These awards are bestowed by the Board of Education and administration of DCS.

Nomination Process:Any individual can submit a nomination for the Delaware City Schools Distinguished Hall of Fame. Nominations are accepted throughout the year. All nominations received by May 15 will be considered for the current year selection process. Nominations received after May 15 will be considered the next year. All nominations remain active for 3 years after submission. Nominations must be submitted in writing by mailing the nomination form with supporting materials to Delaware City Schools Hall of Fame, 74 W. William St., Delaware, OH 43015 or emailing documents to ruheje@delawarecityschools.net.

The purpose of the Delaware City Schools Distinguished Hall of Fame is to recognize and honor those graduates who through their exemplary actions and achievements reflect positively on the Delaware City Schools so that present day students may identify with their efforts and establish goals for the future. Those inducted must have made significant contributions in their careers, athletics and/or performing and visual arts.

Eligibility: 1. Alumni will be eligible for consideration 10 years after the year of graduation 2. Graduates of Delaware High School, Willis High School, and Rutherford B. Hayes High School

are eligible for consideration.
