Race 1

#3 Piper’s Legacy

#6 Alkeline

#4 She’s Got Fire

#5 Notice Me

#3 PIPER’S LEGACY looked like she took to the

turf very well when beating non-twos on June 7.

The runner up from that race has since come back

to win; she makes her first start since that win

here. #6 ALKELINE had some traffic trouble when

finishing fourth by two lengths last time out on

June 12. She skipped the July 5 inner turf race that

several of these foes exit. #4 SHE’S GOT FIRE

rallied up the inside when finishing second behind

a foe who had a perfect trip on the inner turf on

July 5. The addition of blinkers last time seemed

to stop her from lugging in as she had in her

previous start. #5 NOTICE ME made the lead but

was outfinished and ended up third in the same

July 5 inner turf race that She’s Got Fire exits. She

has yet to miss the board this season.

Race 2

#5 Airy Fairy - Best Bet

#1 Dolly Dagger

#6 Foxxy Belle

#7 Islay Inlet

#5 AIRY FAIRY finished fourth when trying to close

on a speed favouring turf course on June 22. She

seems to be catching a manageable group for this

class drop. #1 DOLLY DAGGER was second best

behind a foe with a perfect trip when competing

for $15,000 last time out. Despite the increase in

claiming price, this group may not be too tough

and she should appreciate getting back to turf. #6

FOXXY BELLE was claimed out of her non-two win

last time out and has waited the claiming jail

period to return at the same level. She did not run

badly on turf when still a maiden. #7 ISLAY INLET

raced gamely to win her non-two last time out on

June 1. She may end up as the controlling speed

here

Race 3

#7 Giant Mine

#3 Big Blind

#1 Conquest Eliminatr

#2 Crumlin Night

#7 GIANT MINE looked good when beating

$15,000 non-twos on May 19, then did not fare

well against non-threes when getting a wide trip

on turf last time out. He drops in for $7,000 and

should like getting back to the Tapeta. #3 BIG

BLIND has sprinted exclusively since returning

from Penn National with regressing results.

Although he did manage to win around one turn

three starts back, I do think he’s better off at a

route. #1 CONQUEST ELIMINATR tired after

dueling for the lead on the inner turf on July 7. He

will most likely be the pacesetter here. #2

CRUMLIN NIGHT rode a dead rail through most of

his June 21 start, angled out into the stretch but

just missed by a head. He is a logical looking

option.

Race 4

#3 Bella Figura

#8 Stop Who’s That

#1 Touch of Emma

#5 Modus Operandi

#3 BELLA FIGURA was part of a pressured early

pace and came up second best in an off-turf

sprint last time out. She may be the controlling

speed at this longer distance. #8 STOP WHO’S

THAT was not far beaten for place in a $40,000

race won by an impressive U.S. invader on the

inner turf last time out. She should appreciate the

drop in value. #1 TOUCH OF EMMA had a decent

start on Jun 29 in her first start off of the claim but

regressed when entered for $37,500 two weeks

later. She’s likely better at a sprint but may get a

good inside trip here. #5 MODUS OPERANDI

stalked the pace and was able to outfinish Bella

Figura last time out. She will likely try to employ a

similar style on the stretch out.

Race 5

#7 Hitters Park

#4 Stormy Rush

#2 Nashville Knight

#5 Sumerian Bell

#7 HITTERS PARK tried to rally up the inside but

came up a bit short in the first leg of this series.

The blinkers come off and he now gets to make

his second local start. #4 STORMY RUSH stalked

the pace and got up late to win on July 10 in his

first start of the season. Classy 11 year old has

every right to double up. #2 NASHVILLE KNIGHT

set the pace but was run down late on July 10. He

should be saving ground while part of the early

pace here. #5 SUMERIAN BELL kicked off his

season in the Greenwood Stakes, getting hooked

in a big speed duel and ending up being eased up

in the stretch. He may rebound after about two

months off.

Race 6

#6 Big Hambone

#2 Skipped Him

#4 Dynamic Force

#1 Overbearing

#6 BIG HAMBONE had a wide trip but rallied well

to be third in his season opener on June 28. A

better trip could make him tough here. #2

SKIPPED HIM improved drastically last time out in

the same June 28 race Big Hambone exits,

controlling the pace for most of the race. There

does not look to be much speed here. #4

DYNAMIC FORCE had a poor showing on June 23

but proved in his first start off of the claim when

sprinting on July 14. He gets back to a route now

for his second start for the new connections. #1

OVERBEARING had a decent run when sprinting

on the Tapeta in his debut and has since been

okay in a pair of longer races on the turf. He may

appreciate getting back to the main track.

Race 7

#5 Metadata

#4 Just for Rose

#3 Cause for Alarm

#9 Thxforbeingmyfriend

#5 METADATA showed a surprising lack of speed

last time out but showed finishing interest. He

stretches out to a route here; trainer Banach

ponied the horse pre-race last time and it seemed

to help keep him settled, which is likely the key to

his success. #4 JUST FOR ROSE did not run badly

when kicking off his season on the turf on June 16

then ran a well beaten third on July 5 with a wide

rally. He takes a step down in class. #3 CAUSE FOR

ALARM pressed the pace then gave way going 10

furlongs on the turf last time out. His lone

synthetic start was a decent effort in his career

debut. #9 THXFORBEINGMYFRIEND has had

excuses in both of his starts so far but has yet to

show much. He has some early speed and takes a

big drop in for $10,000.

Race 8

#7 Pirano

#2 Jenny’s Victory

#1 Moon Over Victoria

#8 J M R Bold Vision

#3 Judith Can

#7 PIRANO should have some cheap speed to

close into for her seasonal debut. She was able to

win in her first start off of the bench last year. #2

JENNY’S VICTORY generally shows speed but

hangs late and loses positions. Three starts back

she ran a decent effort closing from off of the

pace. #1 MOON OVER VICTORIA has had a pair of

well beaten runner up finishes to kick off the

season. She has not tried turf since 2017. #8 J M R

BOLD VISION is a stalking type who could benefit

from the cheap speed setting things up for her.

She makes her turf debut here. #3 JUDITH CAN

came up empty in her local debut when facing

$25,000 foes on the Tapeta. Her form on turf at

Gulfstream is fine; she may simply be no good on

the main track.
