What is RWUR?
• Created in response to student demand for courses offered at more convenient times
• Began as a DE flex entry pilot program – fall 2008• Intended for highly motivated, self-disciplined
students with good computer skills• 8 week courses that start at the beginning of
February, March, April, October, November and December
• Only selected “core” curriculum courses are offered

• Same admissions requirements apply• No difference in cost of online courses or extra
program requirements• Classes are completely online – no in person
assignments, labs, or tests • Low cost or free e-textbooks – instructor’s option• Respondus Lockdown browser use for testing –
instructor’s option

RWUR Faculty
• Faculty must have Certification in Instructional Technology (CIT) certification
• Faculty must be experienced in DE• Assignment must be within course workload • Application process for faculty
• Faculty respond to questions about teaching style, experiences and interest in teaching in this format
• Supervisor recommends and approves application• Committee reviews application
