completed another training sessionwith new staff and assisted experi-enced analysts with workflowenhancements and tips and tricks toimprove efficiencies.

LiDAR Processing Continental Mapping is pleased tooffer LiDAR data processing to itscustomers. We’ve recently completeda project for the National ParkService’s Midwest ArchaeologicalCenter (MWAC) for a LiDAR surfaceat the Effigy Mounds NationalMonument in Iowa. Project specifica-tions included 0.5-0.7 meter post-ings, with a vertical accuracy of bareearth of 15 cm and a horizontalaccuracy of 0.5 meters. Deliverablesincluded raw data of the first andlast returns, intensity data, and anESRI-compatible DEM grid re-sam-pled to one meter. MWAC officials

hope to use the analysis to helpthem find Native American moundstructures in other areas (see imageabove). Continental Mapping is excit-ed about adding LiDAR services toour repertoire, and we will continueto expand our expertise in this field.

Other EnhancementsThe Indianapolis office acquiredIntergraph’s ISAT program to add toour AT capabilities, giving us one

more tool to ingest and output avariety of data. The Sun Prairie office also implemented Inpho’sOrthoVista into our orthophotogra-phy workflow. OrthoVista gives usthe capability to perform majorradiometric changes across manyimages and allows us to easily man-age and seam together larger orthoprojects that have been flown across multiple days. Both officesimplemented the latest DAT/EMtools, including on-the-fly contour-ing, to increase efficiencies in ourDTM collection.

Additionally, Continental Mappinghas dramatically increased our ITinfrastructure to include a new serv-er in Indianapolis and a new storageserver in Sun Prairie, as well as manynew compilation/extraction, edit, and QA/QC seats.
