Hi Everyone,
I hope that all is good with you all? This week I went into school on Thursday and Friday, it was
lovely to see everyone and catch up.
Although it has been a bit colder, I’ve been continuing with walking in the evenings - yesterday I
walked 9 miles and I’m getting a new bicycle soon so I’ll be able to go on long bike rides too.
Below is an update on the raspberries: they look like they are surviving!
This was one of our evening walks along the Stour.
Bingo refusing to get off the car roof!
Another lovely evening walk along the Stour.
VE Day scone baking.
Stay safe and enjoy the sunshine!

Hi Year 6
What lovely weather we had for the bank holiday weekend, perfect for celebrating VE day. Did you
do anything to celebrate? I saw lots of people decorating their houses with bunting.
We decided to have a VE day lunch in the garden with scones and cakes. We were a little
disappointed that we didn’t see the red arrows fly over on their way to London. Did any of you get a
glimpse of them?
The good weather is helping our strawberries to grow. I can’t wait for them to turn red and so we
can eat them. I must remember to water them!
Well it’s supposed to be another sunny weekend, so have some fun and I look forward to hearing
about what you have all been up to.
Mrs King
Dear Year 6,
I can’t believe another week has gone by but it has been an
extremely busy week.
I was in school Monday and Tuesday which was lovely. It is
nice to be back in school and fingers crossed I get to be
back with some of you soon.
We have also investigated some more footpaths both
walking and on our bikes. Obviously, we have to take
footballs with us!!
The latest wildlife to add to one of my children’s fears is
sheep- they are very scary when they go baaa!. We now have
geese, swans, cows and sheep. I’m hoping we don’t come
across a bull on our travels!
Lots more has happened in our back garden. I’ve finished
painting the back fence and our pond is now dug. We are
hoping a little frog finds his way there soon.
We’ve also enjoyed toasting marshmallows on the fire –
delicious!!!
Looking forward to next week as we are now allowed to
launch our kayak and paddleboard and we have booked a
tennis court at Dedham.
Hope you all have a lovely week. Look after yourselves and
fingers and toes crossed that I see you all soon.
Mrs Billings
Hello Year 6,
I hope that you are staying well and continuing to do some studying.
This week I have taken the opportunity for some more long walks, tried out
some new recipes and read my book each day. I have also enjoyed doing some
puzzles – crosswords and Sudokus. This week I managed to complete a
Tredoku (like a 3d Sudoku) for the first time!
I have also been in school for a couple of days helping to look after the children
that were in. We had a lovely time sharing pirate stories, doing a scavenger
hunt on the school field and best of all, playing badminton. It really is true that
you get better with practice!
Stay safe, Mrs Henderson
Hello year 6,
I can’t believe another week has gone by. I hope you are all keeping well and have
managed to find some new activities to enjoy.
I am still trying to keep up with Joe Wicks, although I have missed a few this week.
My dogs have started to join in, which makes it rather tricky as we keep bumping into
each other.
I haven’t given up trying to learn the countries, their capitals and flags but it does
seem to be getting harder to remember them. My daughter and I have started to paint
some flags to help – I didn’t realise how many countries there are in Europe alone.
My seeds are coming along slowly. Hopefully the warm weather over the next few days
will help to bring them along. I think it might be a while before I will get to eat any of
the runner beans.
I have also been doing some baking, but I never seem to quite make enough. Brownies
are a favourite in our house.
I am missing each one of you and I’m looking forward to hearing all your news.
Take care of yourselves,
Miss Heath
