Based on the motto 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (The World is my Family), Himgiri ZEE University has been established for the vocationalisation of higher education which is national in character. The University is characterized by its resolve not to discriminate on the grounds of caste, creed, residence, community, gender and religion.
The University promotes a holistic approach to learning where each individual receives academic insight along with the fundamental values of work ethics and etiquette. Over the years our efforts have been towards creating good infrastructure, providing newer facility for the students and upgrading our programs and faculty to strengthen the academic rigour of the University.
The University will benefit from the wide range of industry linkages of Essel Group. We will ensure that final year students will receive ample opportunities for successful placements in reputed companies of Essel Group and other organizations across the country.
We welcome students and parents to be a part of Himgiri ZEE University and join hands in an effort to groom a new cadre of professionals for India.

Message from the Vice-Chancellor
Welcome to Himgiri ZEE University (HZU)!
HZU was established under Uttaranchal State Act No. 17 of 2003 and recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). With the mission to Serve the Nation, HZU is striving to become premier institute of higher learning. We believe that knowledge and skill supported by innovative learning mechanism can create better tomorrow of young students. Dehradun is known for quality educational institutions and HZU is one among few who enjoys trust of students from Pan India and neighboring countries. It is our endeavour to provide quality education and groom the students to be future leaders. Co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are embedded with academics in a manner that students get enough platforms to explore their talents and gain the requisite skills to become qualified professionals.
At present, university has six schools in various professional areas. School of vocational studies is the new school added as per guidelines of UGC to provide skills based learning. Industry academia relationship is very strong and all students of vocational studies are provided industrial training in every semester so that they become job ready when they graduate.
I am happy that you have considered HZU for your study and assure that all support will be provided to achieve your dream. The highly experienced faculty, state of the art laboratories, industrial interface and regular co-curricular activities will differentiate you with other graduates in your own field.
Once again I welcome you to the university and I am sure you will find your journey exciting, motivating and fulfilling.
