Welcome to a neW era in Super rugby boaSting more gameS, more teamS, more finalS and more entertainment.

In 2011 the CA Technologies Brumbies will host eight regular season matches at Canberra Stadium as part of a revamped Super Rugby competition. This gives you an additional game to host clients, reward staff or simply enjoy a night out at the rugby with your family and friends.

In addition to this, half of the matches at Canberra Stadium will pit your CA Technologies Brumbies against their Australian rivals: the high-flying Reds; the always dangerous Western Force; our traditional rivals, the NSW Waratahs; and the new kids on the block, the Melbourne Rebels.

With a stable squad leading into 2011, we are expecting to reap the benefits of continuity at the pointy end of the season. We have strengthened our playing list with the recruitment of quality Waratahs prop Dan Palmer and the return of Julian Salvi while five members of our Brumbies Academy have been promoted into the main squad, including Colby Faingaa, Michael Hooper and Ed Stubbs, who all played Super 14 rugby for the CA Technologies Brumbies in 2010.

Also returning to the CA Technologies Brumbies are former greats Stephen Larkham (Attack Coach), Justin Harrison (Forwards Coach) and Marco Caputo (Scrum Coach) who will join Andy Friend (Head Coach) and Tony Rea (Defence Coach) in the side’s coaching staff for 2011.

With the anticipation building towards a successful season, Brumbies Rugby will again provide a number of excellent options to cater for every hospitality need – whether it be the comfort of a private suite, networking opportunities through the Captain’s Lounge or Deloitte Directors Dinner, or soaking up the atmosphere as part of the crowd in your Open Box.

The Canberra businesses have long been terrific supporters of local sides within our community and we appreciate your ongoing support. In turn, we’ll be ensuring that the team is doing it’s utmost to represent the ACT and surrounding region in the best possible way, both on the field and in our efforts to repay this support through our community initiatives.

Do not miss your opportunity to be a part of a special Super Rugby season with the CA Technologies Brumbies in 2011. I look forward to seeing you out at Canberra Stadium.

the 2011 super rugBy CompetitioN BriNgs With it more teams, more matChes, more FiNals, more eNtertaiNmeNt aND  more home games to CaNBerra staDium.

The new format will see Australia, New Zealand and South Africa boast five teams with each province playing the other teams in their country’s pool on a home-and-away basis – the new draw guarantees the CA Technologies Brumbies the opportunity to host the NSW Waratahs, Queensland Reds, Western Force and Rebels at Canberra Stadium.

With the introduction of a fifth Australian franchise, the Melbourne Rebels, the revamped 15-team tournament will see the CA Technologies Brumbies host eight home matches during the regular season in Canberra.

The competition will also feature a new six-team finals series with each of the three countries guaranteed representation through at least one side. With the CA Technologies having finished within the top six in 12 of Super Rugby’s 15 years, there is renewed faith that the men from the ACT will again be in the final running to lift the Super Rugby trophy in 2011.

The schedule for the Super Rugby has been extended to feature an 18-round regular season, with the series running from Saturday, 19 February to Saturday, 9 July.

WeeK 3: QueenSland redS

2010’s big improvers return to Canberra Stadium . The Wallabies young brigade of Will Genia, Queanbeyan-born Faingaa twins, Anthony and Saia, and Quade Cooper

will try their luck against some of the CA Technologies Brumbies’ big guns. The Reds, under the guidance of coach and former CA technologies Brumbies prop Ewen McKenzie, will return to the scene of their 32-12 hiding last year which effectively ended their finals aspirations. The Reds have never won at Canberra Stadium and haven’t beaten the CA Technologies Brumbies since 1999 – a record we are intent on continuing.

WeeK 6: nSW WaratahS

While the competition structure may change, it has done nothing to dilute the rivalry between the CA Technologies Brumbies and the

NSW Waratahs. A close and controversial 19-12 win to the New South Welshmen last season, you can be sure that the boys from the ACT will be determined to get one back on their counterparts from up the Hume Highway. Dan Palmer’s defection to the CA Technologies Brumbies may add further spice to what is always a heated encounter.

WeeK 9: WeStern force

2011 will provide the Canberra Stadium faithful with the first opportunity to be there to watch Matt Giteau go head to head with his former Force teammates.

The mercurial playmaker missed the CA Technologies Brumbies match in Perth last season with a quad strain but will be determined for a big showing against his former side. The Force has won one of their two matches at Canberra Stadium while narrowly being squeezed out in the other, 14-12 in 2007. However, with the likes of Giteau and fellow former sandgroper, Josh Valentine, in ACT colours, don’t expect the CA Technologies Brumbies to take any prisoners as they take on the boys from the West.

WeeK 17: melbourne rebelS

In a highly anticipated final match at Canberra Stadium for the regular season, former CA Technologies Brumbies Stirling Mortlock, Julian

Huxley, Mark Gerrard, Nic Henderson and Al Campbell, and CA Technologies foundation head coach Rod Macqueen return to their former stomping ground in the colours of the new Melbourne Rebels franchise. The competition’s new boys are an unknown quantity leading into the 2011 season but we are determined not to give the Rebels a first up win in Canberra.

Corporate Suites

Our relationship with the ACT Brumbies started over ten years ago when we first booked an eight seat open box. Last year we upgraded to a sixteen seat Corporate Suite, a decision that we will never regret. We were able to invite over 60 of our clients and friends to enjoy all of the Brumbies home games with us. The service and hospitality of both the Brumbies and Canberra Stadium staff was excellent and we are already looking forward to next season.
