Racecourse looks to add some fizz to 2013!Hamilton Park Racecourse is all set for the 2013 season and is introducing some fantastic new dining options and thrilling fixtures to set your heart racing.

With the new season under way in May, the action and excitement is never far away with a range of afternoons, evenings and weekend fixtures providing something for everyone - whether you are looking for a table for dinner, a celebration or looking to impress clients in one of our fantastic private boxes.

A saint or a sinner? The Charity is the Winner!Following on from the successful return of Saints & Sinners to Hamilton Park in 2012, the racecourse is already making preparations for this season’s event and thinking of new ways to benefit this wonderful Charity.

Last year saw the welcomed return of one of the biggest fixtures in Hamilton Park’s history and the team at Hamilton was delighted to see so many racegoers getting involved on the night. “It really was a fantastic night,” explains Vivien Kyles, Chief Executive at the racecourse. “Everyone got into the spirit of the evening and it was great to see so many wearing red or white with their outfits to signify whether they were a Saint or Sinner.”

The racecourse also arranged for red and white carnations to be available on the evening for a small donation to the charity. “It was something that was done in previous years and we together with the Charity, were keen to put it in place for the return to Hamilton Park.” Vivien continues: “It’s a bit of fun and really

contributes to the feel of the evening as well as benefiting the Charity.”Last year’s event also featured entertainment on the evening from dancers, street performers and live music as well as the Best Dressed Couple competition. The night was topped off with the release of 100 red and white Chinese lanterns from the Parade Ring – one for each of the good causes that Saints & Sinners supports each year.“We are planning to make 2013 even better and we hope to welcome an even bigger crowd to this glitzy evening of entertainment and racing action. I would encourage everyone to come along this season and enjoy the entertainment whilst helping to raise much needed funds for the worthy cause, after all, the bigger the crowd, the more we can raise.”

Saints & Sinners Racenight is on Thursday 27th June 2013 with tickets on sale now. For more details on hospitality contact Kirsty on 01698 206474 or for general admission tickets please visit www.hamilton-park.co.uk

Divisional Executive Chef for Scotland, Stephen Frost said: “By sourcing products from Scotland, we can reduce carbon emissions through the use of consolidated deliveries. Our purchasing team has developed a number of relationships with growers, farmers and producers in Scotland, including a chicken supplier based right here in Hamilton, hand picked for their quality of produce.”

If you’re looking to entertain clients, family or friends then Hamilton Park has the perfect package for you.

Dukes Restaurant has some of the best views of the action which can be enjoyed from the comfort of your table. Kirsty Reynolds says: “The Dukes is one of the most sociable dining experiences that Hamilton Park has to offer. You can eat delicious food, pick your favourite horse from your complimentary race programme and then watch top racing unfold from your prime spot overlooking the home straight.

“Packages in The Dukes are also some of our most cost effective and start from as little as £64+vat per person for a three course meal and a glass of wine. You’re in the heart of the main grandstand and the atmosphere is fantastic!”

On selected evenings the racecourse also opens restaurant marquees which provide the same

atmosphere overlooking either the Parade Ring or the Winning Post.

However if you’re looking for a little more privacy and sophistication then a Private Box is probably for you. “Each of the boxes are named after significant past winners at the racecourse and provide the ultimate experience in raceday hospitality,” says Kirsty. “Each box has its own private balcony that gives sensational views across the racecourse and with your own dedicated staff on hand, you are free to relax while you and your guests enjoy some of the finest hospitality Scotland has to offer, not to mention the quality action on track.”

In addition to this, each box has its own private bar, personal Tote betting service and TV screen showing all of the racing action. Our boxes include VIP admission, car parking and complimentary race programme as well as your

choice of catering package, all of which include a drink for this season.

“A private box really is the ultimate raceday hospitality experience and is often cheaper than you would think with our traditional package starting at £92+vat for a champagne reception and two course lunch.”

With so many options available Hamilton Park is the ideal place to enjoy hospitality, whether it’s for a family celebration or if you’re looking to impress that important client - make sure Hamilton Park is your first call.

All Dukes restaurant packages include hospitality admission, race programme, reserved parking and dedicated staff members to guarantee an enjoyable day for you and your guests.

Enjoy Quality Time with clients

Everyone loves a corporate day out whether it’s to the football or a golf day, but how much time do you actually spend with your customers developing that all important rapport that inevitably wins business?

Ashley Moon, Commercial Manager at Hamilton Park shares his opinion: “I believe there is a huge amount of goodwill involved in entertaining key clients throughout the year and there really is no better way to do that than a day at the races.” He explains: “With hospitality at football you have time with your customers before the game but after that the sport really takes over and you lose them for 90 minutes.” The same can be said for golf: “At best you can go out in a four ball so you really limit your client exposure at a golf day and given the participative nature of the game it’s important to concentrate, however you do have the après golf opportunities.

“With racing the time you spend with your clients is much greater. You arrive a couple of hours before the racing starts for your hospitality and you then have the whole of the event with them.” He continues: “With each race only lasting a few minutes and half an hour or more between races you end up with five hours or so of quality time with your key clients - to my mind that’s unrivalled in any other sport.”

So make a day at the races top of your list for entertaining this year and experience the benefits for yourself.

Hamilton Park Racecourse, Bothwell Road, Hamilton, ML3 0DW t: 01698 283806 • f: 01698 286621 e: [email protected]

Just 15 miles from Glasgow City Centre or 40 miles from Edinburgh, Hamilton Park is easy to reach thanks to excellent access from the M8 and M74 Motorways. Direct trains are available from Glasgow Central whilst trains from Edinburgh Waverley service Motherwell, with onward connections to Hamilton.

Sponsorship at the Lanarkshire track continues to attract major interest from all sectors with leading travel company Thomson, the latest to sign up in 2013 taking sponsorship of the first evening meeting of the season on Friday 10th May. This comes on the back of other successes in 2012 that saw both Ladbrokes and John Smith’s commit to long term partnerships at the racecourse.

“We are absolutely delighted to have such a recognised brand as Thomson Holidays coming onboard as one of our key sponsors for 2013,” says Ashley Moon. “It was exciting working on their proposal and we’ve been able to create a bespoke package that delivers all of their requirements, including branding for the season as well as event sponsorship, but most importantly to their budget.”

Ashley is also keen to highlight the benefits of sponsorship at all levels, ‘Having major brands involved at Hamilton is great but regardless of the company, big or small, we are all in a

climate where budgets are tight. In light of that we take a flexible approach to sponsorship – we really can tailor something to suit every budget or marketing objective.” He adds: “Event sponsorship such as the Thomson deal are designed to maximise marketing exposure both on the day and across the season at a national level and we are confident that it provides real value for money and a tangible return on investment. That said, our packages start from only £1,000+vat for a support race which is a great way to try sponsorship for the first time and get your company’s name up in lights.”

Race sponsorship has proved to be a cost effective marketing tool for thousands of companies wishing to raise their brand awareness, promote their products or simply add that special VIP experience to their guests’ day out.

Among the benefits of sponsorship are highly visible branding on course, on screen and in the race programme as well as the opportunity for you and your clients to present prizes to your

The racecourse continues to develop a range of cost effective advertising offers that are a fantastic way of getting your message to your target audience and the 2013 season is the ideal platform for you to take your brand to a different audience.Hamilton Park attracts over 55,000 racegoers throughout the season in addition to more than 80,000 viewers on Racing UK’s TV channel every week of the year. Ranging from advertising boards, printed media or promotional space, there’s something for every company looking to attract new business.“We have an array of advertising sites strategically positioned throughout the course from trackside, parade ring, grandstand and even overlooking the main road,” says Ashley Moon, Commercial Manager at Hamilton Park. “We are delighted to be able to offer a range of season-long, cost effective advertising sites around the racecourse

that are sure to give your brand fantastic exposure. Not only do these sites provide coverage to the Hamilton Park crowd, many, such as trackside boards, provide television exposure on Racing UK’s TV channel.”In addition to advertising boards, the racecourse also offers a variety of printed media advertising. Ashley continues “We have several types of printed advertising options on offer, all of which provide a cost effective way of promoting your business to our customers.“The raceday programme is included in every hospitality package at the racecourse and therefore is directly in the hands of not only private individuals but also our corporate guests. In addition to this, programmes are sold throughout each racemeeting giving us an annual circulation of more than 35,000 programmes with readership far greater as many customers take these home as souvenirs.”

“Alternatively there is the option of poster advertising space, mainly within our bars and washrooms but if data capture is one of your key objectives then promotional space is available within the grounds, as is the opportunity to sponsor the raceday admission tickets for the season. Everyone who attends a raceday at Hamilton Park requires a ticket to get in meaning your brand would be placed straight into their hands.”

With seasonal options from as little as £500+vat, racecourse advertising is the perfect way to have your brand seen and make sure your business is busy.

Ashley and the team at Hamilton Park will also do everything to maximise your brand’s exposure through all media outlets. This includes 80,000 viewers per week on Racing UK (Sky Channel 432) and more than 20 million newspaper readers.
