Automatic Production Workflows
In a typical production workflow a rule set developed on a representative area is applied over very large areas. Often an automatic tiling and stitching approach is applied allowing analysis of very large data without cutting subsets. Exported results are automatically named and stored in dedicated locations for easy further processing. The analysis process can be monitored utilizing a convenient HTML based status monitor. Using the Definiens Automation API, such workflows can be easily embedded into existing production environments.

Semi Automatic Production Workflows
In a semi automatic workflow, data is usually run in a first pre processing step segmenting and classifying the data. The analyzed workspace is then accessed by users of Definiens Architect for manual editing and/or calibration of further classification steps. In a second processing step, manually edited workspaces are then finalized and results are exported.

Transferable rule set development
Besides being applied in production workflows, Definiens eCognition™ Server also offers great increases in productivity for development of transferable rule sets. In this setup Definiens Developer users use Definiens eCognition™ Server to apply rule sets on large scenes or over large areas. This results in quick feedback cycles and consequently speeds up development of transferable rule sets.
