From the Border Stripe - Sky Blue (B), cut:• (1) 24” x WOF (width of fabric) strip. Fussy cut (2) 24” x 7 ½” strips centered on stripe.

From the Mushroom - Tan (C), cut:• (1) 2” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 2” x 9 ½” strips.• (2) 2” x 40 ½” strips.

From the Modern Melody Basics - Cream (D), cut:• (4) 2” x WOF strips. Sub-cut (4) 2” x 27” strips and (4) 2” x 4 ¾” strips for Unit 1.• (2) 2” x WOF strips. From the Modern Melody Basics - Teal (F), cut:• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2” x 56 ½” strips.• (3) 2” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2” x 49 ½” strips.• (7) 2 ½” x WOF strips for the binding

From the Dragonfly - White (G), cut:• (6)5 ½” x WOF strips. Sew the strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (4) 5 ½” x 59 ½” strips.

From the Lake Swimmers - Sky Blue (H), cut:• (1) 4 ¾” x WOF strip. Sub-cut (4) 7 ¾” x 4 ¾” strips.

From the Tossed Allover Critters - Tan (Backing), cut:• (2) 67” x WOF strips for the backing. Sew the strips together and trim to make the 67” x 77” back.

Block Assembly1. Sew (1) 2” x 4 ¾” Fabric D strip to each side of (1) 24” x 4 ¾” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 2” x 27” Fabric D strip to the top and bottom of the Fabric A panel to make (1) Unit 1 rectangle Trim to measure 6 ½” x 25 ½” (Fig. 1).

2. Repeat Step 1 to make a second Unit 1 Rectangle.

3. Sew (1) 2” x 13” Fabric D strip to each side of (1) 24” x 13” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 2” x 27” Fabric D strip to the top and bottom of the Fabric A panel to make (1) Unit 2 rectangle Trim to measure 14 ½” x 25 ½” (Fig. 2).

4. Sew (1) 2” x 24” Fabric D strip to each side of (1) 7 ¾” x 24” Fabric A panel. Sew (1) 2” x 10 ¾” Fabric D strip to the top and bottom of the Fabric A panel to make (1) Unit 3 rectangle Trim to measure 9 ½” x 25 ½” (Fig. 3).

5. Repeat Step 4 to make a second Unit 3 Rectangle.

6. Sew (1) 1 ¼” x 7 ½” Fabric D strip to each of (1) 24” x 7 ½” Fabric B strip to make (1) Unit 4 rectangle (Fig. 4). Repeat to make a second Unit 4 rectangle.

7. Sew (1) 1 ⅜” x 4 ¾” Fabric D strip to each of (1) 7 ¾” x 4 ¾” Fabric H rectangle. Sew (1) 1 ⅜” x 9 ½” Fabric D strip to the top and bottom of the Fabric H rectangle to make (1) Unit 5 rectangle (Fig. 5). Repeat to make (4) Unit 5 rectangles total.

8. Sew (1) Unit 4 rectangle to the top and bottom of (1) Unit 2 rectangle. Sew (1) Unit 1 rectangle to the top and bottom of the Unit 2 rectangles to make Block One (Fig. 6).

9. Sew (1) 2” x 9 ½” Fabric C strip to the top and bottom of (1) Unit 3 rectangle. Sew (1) Unit 5 rectangles to the top and bottom of the Fabric C strips to make (1) Block Two rectangle (Fig. 7). Repeat to make a second Block Two rectangle.

10. Sew together (8) 6” x 6 ½” Fabric E rectangles together. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 6 ½” Fabric D strip to each side of the sewn unit. Sew (1) 1 ½” x 46 ½” Fabric D strip to the top and bottom of the sewn unit to make (1) Block Three rectangle (Fig. 8). Repeat to make a second Block Three rectangle.

12. Sew (1) Block Two to each side of Block One to make the middle row.

13. Sew (1) Block Three rectangle to the top and bottom of the middle row to make the quilt top.

14. Sew (1) 2” x 56 ½” Fabric F strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 2” x 49 ½” Fabric F strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.

15. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 59 ½” Fabric G strip to each side of the quilt top. Sew (1) 5 ½” x 59 ½” Fabric G strip to the top and bottom of the quilt top.

16. Layer and quilt as desired.

17. Sew the (7) 2 ½” x WOF Fabric F strips together, end to end with 45-degree seams, to make the binding. Fold this long strip in half lengthwise with wrong sides together and press.

18. Bind as desired.
