Hospital

If someone you know is homebound or in the hospital, please call the rectory and let us know. We would like to

keep them in our prayers and try to arrange to visit.

Mass Intentions

Part of our tradition as a Catholic Community is to remember our loved ones in our prayer and gathering.

Many times, we do this simple gesture of our prayer in the intentions of our masses, published each week in our

bulletin. If you would like to set a special intention for a loved one, please contact the Rectory at least two weeks

prior to the date you would like to reserve.

Other Parish Activities and Groups

Adult Social Group First Tuesday of the month at 11:00 AM in the Rectory.

Parish Pastoral Council

Usually this group meets on the second Monday of every other month at 7:00 PM in the rectory unless it is a holiday.

Religious Education News and Upcoming Events

First Communion Candidate & Parent Retreat: on Tuesday, March 19th, any student preparing for 1st Communion in May must attend an important retreat with a parent. It wll begin at 7:00 p.m. in the school gym. Confirmation Student Retreat on Saturday, March 23rd 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (in school) & Rite of Enrollment at 5:00 p.m. Mass: all students preparing to be confirmed in May must attend this all-day re-treat. Students need to arrive in the gym by 8:00 a.m. They will be dismissed by 6:00 p.m., following the 5 PM Mass, at which they will officially be enrolled as candidates for Confirmation. All parents and sponsors are encouraged to attend the mass. Food donations of snacks, drinks, chips, treats, etc. would be greatly ap-preciated. Altar Server Training: all students preparing to make their First Communion in May must attend five sessions of altar server training. It will begin at 11:15 a.m. in the church on Saturday, March 30th. Lent: please encourage and enable your children to make this a special time through more prayer, abstinence, and almsgiving. Sacrificing and giving of ourselves makes us holy. On Fridays during lent, there are Stations of the Cross in english at 6:00 p.m. and in Spanish at 7:00 p.m. Please join us. CRS Rice Bowls: Please collect loose change to feed the world’s poorest people. Students were issued “CRS bowls”. This is a great way to put into practice the age-old tradition of almsgiving during Lent. Please have your children return the little boxes filled with money after Easter. R.E. Family Mass: our next Family Mass will be on Saturday, April 6th.

Retiro de Primera Comunión para Candidatos y Padres: el Martes 19 de Marzo, cualquier estudiante que se este preparando para la 1ª Comunión en Mayo debe asistir a un retiro importante con un padre. Comenzaremos a las 7:00 p.m. en el gimnasio de la escuela. Retiro para Estudiantes de Confirmación el Sabado, 23 de Marzo de 8:00 a.m. a 6:00 p.m. (en la es-cuela) y Rito de Inscripción en Misa de las 5:00 p.m.: todos los estudiantes que se preparan para ser con-firmados en Mayo deben asistir a este retiro que se llevara a cabo todo el día. Los estudiantes deben llegar al gimnasio a las 8:00 a.m. Saldrán a las 6:00 p.m., después de Misa de las 5 PM, en la que se inscribirán ofi-cialmente como candidatos para la Confirmación. Todos los padres y padrinos están invitados a asistir a la misa. Donaciones de alimentos de bocadillos, bebidas, bolsas de papitas, golosinas, etc. serían muy apre-ciadas. Entrenamiento para Servidor de Altar: todos los estudiantes que se preparan para hacer su Primera Comunión en Mayo deben asistir a cinco sesiones de entrenamiento para servidor de altar. Comenzará a las 11:15 a.m. en la iglesia el Sábado, 30 de Marzo. Cuaresma: por favor anime y permita que sus hijos hagan de este un momento especial a través de más oración, abstinencia y limosna. Tazas de Arroz de CRS: Recoja cambio suelto para alimentar a las personas más pobres del mundo. A los estudiantes ya se les entregaron las “tazas CRS”. Esta es una excelente manera de poner en práctica la antigua tradición de dar limosna duran-te la Cuaresma. Por favor, haga que sus hijos devuelvan las cajitas llenas de dinero después de Pascua. Misa Familiar de E.R.: nuestra próxima Misa Familiar será el Sábado, 6 de Abril.

 

Request for Food Donations for Religious Education Confirmation Retreat

Next Saturday, March 23rd, our 45 Confirmation candidates will have their all-day, required retreat, from 8 AM to 6 PM. We will need to feed them throughout the day. Therefore, if you would be able to support our candidates by donating any snacks, treats, pop, water, chips, or cash (with which we’ll buy their lunches),

that would be greatly appreciated. These donations can be brought to the rectory throughout the week. If you have any questions, please call our DRE, Daniel Maul, at 773-478-1157, ext. 113. Thanks so much!
