Centering Design, cut 31-1/2” x 40-1/2” B. Panel Frame / Inner Border, Half Square Triangles (1895-515):

Cut (6) 2 1/2” x WOF** strips; Subcut (3) 2 1/2” x 40 1/2“ strips. Cut (1) 2 7/8” x WOF”strip; Subcut (5) 2-7/8” x 2-7/8” squares.

Set aside remaining strips for side inner border.C. Wilderness Wovles Blocks, Half Square Triangles (1895-253):

Cut (1) 2 7/8” x WOF”strip; Subcut (5) 2-7/8” x 2-7/8” squares.Cut (6) 2 1/2” x WOF for Binding.

D. Wilderness Woves Blocks, Half Square Triangles Light (1895-597):Cut (3) 2 7/8” x WOF strips.Subcut (30) 2 7/8” x 2 7/8” squares - Cut (10) squares in half diagonally.

E. Wilderness Wolves Blocks, Large Accent, Half Square Triangles (1895-577):Cut (2) 10 7/8” x 10 7/8” squares, Subcut each in half diagonally.Cut (1) 2 7/8” x WOF”strip; Subcut (5) 2-7/8” x 2-7/8” squares.

F. Outer Border, Wilderness Wolves Blocks, Half Square Triangles (1895-524):Cut (6) 3” x”WOF strips.Cut (1) 2 7/8” x WOF”strip; Subcut (5) 2-7/8” x 2-7/8” squares.

Piecing Instructions:Panel Border:Using (2) (B) 2 1/2” x 40 1/2” Panel Border strips, join to Top andBottom of Panel Fabric. See Diagram 1.Press seams toward Border Strips.Your center will now measure40 1/2” x 35 1/2”.

Piecing Continued:Wilderness Wolves Blocks:Half Square Triangles:Following Diagram 2, below, take one (B) Wilderness Wolves 2-7/8” square fabric and one (D) Wilderness Wolves 2-7/8” square fabric. Place the (B) Wilderness Wolves 2-7/8” square right sides together with a (D) Wilderness Wolves 2-7/8” square. Draw a line diagonally from corner to corner. Stitch 1/4” on both sides of diagonal line. Cut squares on diagonal line to create two half square triangle blocks. Press seams toward Darker fabric. Repeat to make (10) (BD) half square trianlge blocks. Then repeat using (C) 2-7/8“, (E) 2-7/8” and (F) 2-7/8” fabrics with D 2-7/8” squares to make a total of (40) 2-1/2” x 2-1/2” Half SquareTriangle Blocks.Diagram 2 Stitching Lines

Open block and press seamtoward Dark fabric.Blocks will measure 2 1/2”square. Make (40) blocks.

Wilderness Wolves Blocks:Following Diagram 3, below, join Half Square Triangle blocks made above, (BD), (CD), (ED) and (FD) with (E) Triangles to create your Widerness Wolves Blocks. Vary colors and placement in your blocks as desired.

Join blocks horizontally in rows, then join rows. When all rows have been joined, including top triangle, join(E) Large Accent Triangle. This is a long bias edge, handle gently to not stretch.

Following Diagram 5, join Wilderness Wolves blocks into a row. Attach your row to the bottom of Panel segment created on Pg. 1. Add a (B) 2 1/2” x 40 1/2” Panel/Inner Border strip to the bottom of Wilderness Wolves row. Center will now measure 47 1/2” x 40 1/2”.

Borders:Join the (3) remaining (B) 2 1/2” Inner Border strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 2-1/2” x 47-1/2” strips. Make (2). Attach border strips to sides of quilt. Press seams toward inner border.

Join (3) (F) Outer Border strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 3” x 47-1/2” strips.Attach border strips to sides of quilt. Press seams toward outer border. Join remaining (3) (F) Outer Border strips together end to end with diagonal seams and cut (2) 3” x 49-1/2” strips. Attach to the top and bottom of quilt and press seams toward outer border. Quilt will now measure 52-1/2” x 49-1/2”.Quilting:Sandwich quilt top with batting and backing. Baste layers together and quilt as desired to enhance design.Binding:Join together (C) 2 1/2” Binding strips and bind using your favorite method.

Following Border instructions, add side Inner Borders and Outer Borders.
