Reports and Booklets

Publications When creating reports or publications the documents layout should consider the brands identity and concept.

Internal reports and documentations should maintain certain structured principles such as a defined cover and set content layout. Internal reports e.g. Company annual reports should primarily use the a set structure when dealing with the typography and it ’s layout.

Reports and booklets

External reports and documentations such as booklets welcoming viewers of a wider audience should contain a more fluid approach to the structure of the documents cover and inside layout. Commercial publications should use the primary logo.

The report should be written in Arial Regular, (see typography for more details).

Cover Pages For Internal reports such as Ideaspaces annual report or conference documents the front cover should use the following requirements:

-Text written in Arial-Use one of the designed logos-Contain no other pieces of graphical information.

Cover Page Back Page

The Covers background should be left as a white space. This wil l be useful when mass producing and wil l also attract the viewers eye to the logo and type. The final produce should encorporate the logo, type and colours associated with the brands identity.

The design above is an example of the basic elements being applied together.

It is important to create enough white space on the cover to represent the simplicity of the brands new identity.

Colour Palette Within the publication, a level of consistency should be maintained to make sure that the overall layout does not become too complex or make the reader lose interest.

When using a black and white palette, different shades should be used to help aid the structure of the text and imagery.
