A Team Leader/Supervisor is a first-line management role with specific operational or project wide responsibilities. Titles might include Team Leader, Supervisor, Project Officer, Shift Supervisor, Foreperson or Shift Manager.

Whichever title the role is given, Team Leaders are there to provide direction, instruction and guidance to their team, ensuring that everyone achieves their personal goals and the goals of the team/organisation. Working in the private, public or third sector, and in organisations of all sizes, specific responsibilities vary between organisations, but the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for the role will be consistent.

Our approach recognises that individuals move through a series of emotional states or ‘stages’ as they seek to change ingrained patterns of behaviour.

For experts, those who have thrived in their previous role and are taking a step up the ladder, the shift to a leadership role requires them to let go of some of the skills and behaviours that once made them successful, and to adopt or enhance new behaviours, such as networking or delegation.

This course supports people through that growth, encouraging them to embed these new behaviours in the workplace throughout the programme, using that in-role experience to reinforce learning.

The benefits• Participants receive a personalised coaching approach• It can be tailored specifically to the requirements of each participant• It follows a building block approach that is delivered as modules,
