Guatemala 2008: A group of seven people will be leaving for Guatemala this Saturday, March 15. Two weeks ago, the Cottrell family (Curtis, Sue, Rachel, and Ben) provided us with several ways that we can pray and support them, and last week, Renee Wikkerink did the same. This week, we are featuring Ralph Terpstra and his grandson Nick. Please pray: - For the health and safety of the team as well as the families that they’re leaving behind. - For effective cooperation as a team in different situations. - That they will be Christ's hands and feet as they serve/help the less fortunate. - For opportunities to share the love of Christ and to support the ministry of Chris and Donna Mooney. - That they will be sensitive to Christ's leading and that they will be drawn closer to God. Guatemala 2008... how you can help: - Prayer: please pray specifically for the team members (the Cottrell family, Renee Wikkerink, and Ralph and Nick Terpstra), the Guatemalans who they will be ministering to, and Chris and Donna Mooney (the directors of Bethel Ministries International). - Financial Support: You can sponsor the team, an individual, or a wheelchair. To sponsor the team, simply write “Guatemala 2008” on your cheque’s notation. To give to an individual, you also need to write their name on your giving envelope. To sponsor a wheelchair, write “Guatemala wheelchair” on your giving envelope. Welcome:We’re so glad that you’ve chosen to join us this morning, especially if you’re visiting with us for the first time. If there is anything that we can do to help you on your spiritual journey, please let us know.

We meet weekly at RE Mountain Secondary School, while our office is located at our partner church, North Langley Community Church. Brad Sumner is our Lead Pastor, Keith Reed is our Associate Pastor, Renee Wikkerink is our Children’s Director, and Jon Mair is our Administrative Coordinator. The rest of our leadership team is listed on the back of the Info Sheet. Please feel free to contact any staff or leadership team member with any questions that you may have.

If this is your first time here, please fill out a “Connecting Card” (located in the chair pocket) and drop it in the offering bag as it is passed around. Thanks for joining us!

Current Teaching Series: Paperback copies of Bill Hybels' Just Walk Across the Room are available for $12 at the Welcome Centre. This book is a great resource for anyone who is looking for practical evangelism strategies. If you are interested in discussing these concepts in a small group setting, please contact Pastor Keith and he'll direct you to a LIFE Group that is studying the DVD series.

Deep Water... Aerobics:A number of JRCC ladies are enjoying water aerobics together at the Walnut Grove Community Centre. Join them on Monday nights at 7:30 for some fun fitness and then a chat in the hot tub. Talk with Melissa Reed for more information.

Easter Celebrations: Southgate Church will be hosting two Good Friday services on March 21 (9:30 and 11:30 AM). Join the churches of Langley to commemorate the crucifixion and death of Jesus (Pastor Brad will be speaking at the 9:30 service).

Celebrate Easter Sunday with JRCC during our regular gathering time. We’ll be enjoying a continental breakfast together, listening to the personal stories of JRCC friends, and

celebrating several baptisms! Please visit the Welcome Centre to sign up for a breakfast dish (we need thermal carafes as well).

Men's Rustic Fishing Weekend:This weekend, we open registration for the first annual men's get-a-way, June 6-8th at Chataway Lakes (http://www.chatawaylakes.com). The early-bird cost is an unbelievable $99! For those of you who are “fishally” challenged, you can enjoy a variety of hiking trails and test your billiards’ skills against JRCC’s best. Pick up a brochure at the Welcome Centre today and talk to Ryan Schroeder, Jonathan Woodbury, or Aaron Franson for more information.

M2W2 Restorative Christian Ministries:M2W2 Restorative Christian Ministries endeavors to match a community volunteer with a prison inmate. The purpose is Christian friendship and mentoring based on trust established through monthly visits. Volunteers meet with their assigned prisoner as part of a group. During the group time, volunteers and inmates visit as they might over a cup of coffee. For those interested in participating (Ralph Terpstra and Arnie Friesen from JRCC are already involved), a training and information session will be held on March 15 from 9 to 3:30 at Wagner Hills Farm in Langley. For more information, email [email protected] or call 604.859.3215.
