Flavius is the kind of drummer that manages to get everybody up and

cheering through his energetic and unpredictable improvisations that

can cover almost every musical genre. Although very young, he has

already had over 50 performances on stages and TV, winning numerous

distinctions. A must see!

Flavius Hosu este genul de percutionist care reuseste sa ridice pe toata lumea in picioare prin

improvizatiile sale energice si imprevizibile care pot acoperi, conform spuselor sale, aproape toate

genurile muzicale. Desi atat de tanar, a avut deja peste 50 de aparitii pe scena si la TV, obtinand

numeroase premii. Trebuie vazut!

A young alternative rock band coming out of Bucharest, Magnum

Opus crystalizes in their original compositions, a vast array of

influences from the current alternative scene and the glorious 70s

while adding some funky and epic flavors to the combination.

Magnum Opus este o trupa tanara de rock alternativ din Bucuresti.

Cristalizand o paleta larga de influente in compozitiile proprii, de

la rockul alternativ actual si perioada de glorie a anilor ’70 alaturi de note funky si epice care fac

sunetul trupei usor identificabil.

Wilder is a band that certainly lives up to their name! Their fast-paced

style resonates both with the melodic and heavier sides of the best

alternative and hardcore outfits around. Wilder has an original touch

and charisma which are only surpassed by their sheer enthusiasm.

stil rapid care rezoneaza atat cu partile melodioase, cat si mai dure

ale celor mai tari trupe alternative si hardcore intr-un fel propriu si

When Adela Ursachi founded the band two years ago she never thought

about following any particular style but rather to find a unique sound.

Since then they have never looked back and tried to do something

different with every song, borrowing bits and pieces from alternative

indie bands, mixing them with jazz and blues.

Cand Adela Ursachi a fondat trupa in urma cu doi ani, nu s-a gandit

sa urmeze vreun stil anume ci doar sa-si formeze o amprenta sonora aparte. De atunci nu s-au mai

uitat in urma si au incercat sa aduca ceva nou si diferit in fiecare piesa, avand ca inspiratie soundul

alternative, la care au adaugat elemente din jazz si blues.

At only 13 years old, Alex Petre, a blues guitar wunderkind, arrives for

the second time at the Imagine Romania national finals. This time

he’s back and better than ever, competing with his newly founded

Gara Band, they are is looking to put on an explosive performance to

take them all all the way.

La varsta de doar 13 ani, Alex Petre, un adevarat copil minune al

bluesului, a fost deja calificat in finala nationala a Imagine Romania. Anul acesta, a

reusit din nou sa se califice, de data asta alaturi de noua sa trupa, Gara Band, alaturi de care promite

un show exploziv si eclectic.

A passion for music and a love to perform on stage stand at the

foundation of D’Eagle, a band whose musical style is hard to pinpoint

but generally affiliates to alternative, screamo and hardcore metal.

Now that they’ve made it to the national finals, it’s time to show us

what they’ve got!

Pasiunea pentru muzica si fiorul scenei stau la baza infiintarii trupei

D’Eagle, al carui stil este greu de descris dar despre care se poate spune

ca se incadreaza undeva intre alternative, screamo si hardcore metal.

Acum ca s-au calificat in finala nationala vor trebui sa arate despre ce

vorbeau.

Presently one of the most successful Romanian music exports, this seven piece band is “playing

happiness” as they like to say, through their dancefloor shaking mix of balkan, latin and world music

that has gained them recognition worldwide after they represented Romania at the Eurovision Song

Contest this year.

A project which takes a bits and pieces from the ambient

sound and layered vocals, adds acoustic folk finger

picking techniques and sounds from vintage synths in

order to create an original experimental soundscape

which tells experiences related to life, love and imaginary

characters through simple and honest lyrics.

Un proiect care pune laolalta sunete ambientale alaturi de

parti vocale multistratificate, adaugand tehnici de coarde

ciupite si sunete de sintetizatoare vintage pentru a crea

un camp sonor experimental care relateaza experiente

legate de viata, dragoste si prieteni imaginari prin versuri

simple si sincere.

Pop and jazz, piano and vocals, original compositions with strong, intimate texts filled by rich melodies is what is Viktor all about. It’s no wonder these two beautiful ladies from Antwerp and their seductively powerful music brought them the laurels at this year’s Imagine Belgium national finals. They are now set to leave a strong impression in the international finals!

Pop si jazz, un pian si o voce, compozitii originale cu texte puternice si intime dublate de melodii bogate, cam asta inseamna Viktor. Nu e de mirare ca aceste doua frumoase domnisoare din Anvers si muzica lor seducatoare si in forta le-a adus laurii in finala nationala din acest an al Imagine Belgia. Cu siguranta vor lasa o impresie puternica si la finala internationala!

Although they only exist in their current formation since 2011, with a minimal, mainly acoustic setup, Restart Unplugged have already played more than 40 gigs in Croatia and Slovenia alone. They electrify crowds everywhere they roam with their pop-rock compositions and original versions of all-time hits. Unplug, restart and sing-a-long with a charismatic vocalist and three talented instrumentalists.

Chiar daca nu exista in aceasta formula decat din 2011 si au un setup minimal si aproape exclusiv acustic, Restart Unplugged au deja la activ mai mult de 40 de concerte doar in Croatia si Slovenia. Oriunde ar merge, electrizeaza publicul atat prin intermediul pieselor proprii, cat si prin intepretari proprii ale hiturilor pop-rock de ieri si azi. The band was born on a hot summer night in 2010 and since then have taken things so seriously that they were a clear favorite at this year’s Imagine France. Get ready to rock with one of the coolest up and coming French bands!

Ce se obtine cand pui la un loc cu rockul indie contemporan putina nebunie psihedelica din anii ‘60? Ei bine, John Doe, bineinteles! Trupa a luat fiinta intr-o seara torida din vara lui 2010 si de atunci au luat lucrurile foarte serios, atat de serios incat au fost printre favoriti anul acesta la Imagine France. Pregatiti-va de rock!

Inspired by the legendary Dire Straits album of the same name, the Norwegian rock and roll outfit has already opened for big names back home, shaking crowds with their straight riffs and infectious grooves. Now they’re ready to bring the same energy and enthusiasm to the international finals of the Imagine Festival.

Inspirati de legendarul album cu nume omonim al celor de la Dire Straits, grupul norvegian de rock and roll deja a cantat in deschiderea unor nume mari in tara lor de bastina, zguduind multimile cu riffurile lor drepte si ritmurile infectiooase. Baietii sunt gata sa aduca

aceeasi energie si entuziasm la finala internationala Imagine!

20 years old, Gustaf from Sweden definitely doesn’t lack versatility nor talent. He’s currently involved in a string of musical projects ranging from heavy metal to Jewish Klezmer to jazz and more recently funk and acoustic music. He conquered both the jury and the public at this year’s Imagine Sweden (Musik Direkt) with only a guitar and his voice!

La numai 20 de ani, Gustaf pare sa nu duca lipsa nici de talent, dar nici de versatilitate, dovada facand multimea de proiecte muzicale in care este implicat: de la heavy metal si muzica klezmer pana la jazz si cel mai recent funk si muzica acustica. A cucerit si juriul si publicul anul acesta la Imagine Sweden (Musik Direkt) doar cu o chitara si vocea sa!

Progressive and modern hard rock with an experimental mysterious twist that sends chills down the spine is what you’ll get from Arctica. Unusual time signatures, inspiration from classical music and a knack for arrangements and lyrics is all part of their charm and charisma. Arctica still manage to keep it warm with rich melodies that have now brought them victory at Imagine Slovenia.

Rock hard, modern, progresiv cu elemente misterioase care dau fiori, pe scurt Arctica. Pe acelasi continent muzical veti intalni de asemenea masuri neobisnuite, inspiratie din muzica clasica si o mare atentie acordata aranjamentelor si versurilor. Cu toate astea, prin melodiile lor, Arctica reusesc sa creeze o atmosfera calda, fapt care le-a adus victoria la Imagine Slovenia.

LALA BAND (Pop Rock)

In spite of their name, this alternative rock band is very loud!

Get ready for a storm of funky guitar riffs, powerful vocals

and a straight drum section powered by one of Romania’s

most talented young female drummers! They won their

national Imagine finals in 2011 and are aiming high at the

Imagine Festival international finals.

In ciuda numelui pe care si l-au ales, aceasta trupa de rock

alternativ este foarte galagioasa! Pregatiti-va pentru o furtuna

de riffuri funky, vocaluri in forta si o sectie ritmica condusa de una din cele mai talentate tinere

percutioniste din Romania! Au castigat finala nationala Imagine Romania in 2011 si tintesc la un loc

pe podium si la finala internationala.

One of the most popular young bands in Romania at the moment, Lala Band can easily be described

as a national phenomenon after featuring in the sitcom “Betting on life”, releasing three blockbuster

albums and playing sold out concerts all over the country!
