1. LAMBDA WS / DS 075 – MARKET LAUNCH

After Hueck had the opportunity to present this new window and door platform to the public at BAU 2015 in Munich, the series was then successfully introduced to the market, as promised, in May of this year.

Architectural elegance, profiles with slender visible areas, and easy fabrication thanks to a production-optimised modular system.

With Lambda WS/DS 075, Hueck succeeds in satisfying three crucial requirements at once. The slender profile widths and a profile depth of 75 mm lend the series a distinctly lightweight and elegant appearance.

Two design variants increase the scope for creative freedom even further:

The Lambda WS/DS 075 CD offers a truly “Classic Design” with its bevelled profile geometry, whereas the Lambda WS/DS 075 RD (“Rounded Design”) acts as a visual highlight with its rounded profile geometry.

In all of the variants, special importance has been placed on easy and efficient fabrication – for example, the design has identical chamber dimensions of the inner and outer shell for both windows and doors.

1.1 LAMBDA WS 075 – WINDOW SYSTEM

Various design options for interior and exterior views – from gentle rounding to resolute linearity.

Compatible with the Hueck Lambda DS 075 and Hueck Lambda DS 075 FD door series.

Comprehensive system testing in accordance with EN 14351 with outstanding performance characteristics.




1.2 LAMBDA DS 075 – DOOR SYSTEM

Flush on the inside and outside for doors that open inwards and outwards

Door fillings that overlap on one or both sides

Optimised production thanks to component sharing and identical fittings (door hinges) for doors that open inwards and outwards

Possible door sizes (max. width / max. height): 1,500 mm / 3,100 mm

Max. door leaf weight of 250 kg

Compatible with the Hueck Lambda DS 075 FD front-door series and the Hueck Lambda WS 075 window series

Comprehensive system testing in accordance with EN 14351 with outstanding performance characteristics




1.3 HUECK GEN 4.0 – THE INNOVATIVE WINDOW FITTINGS

The easier and quicker the fabrication, the better and more economical it is for the metal window manufacturer. In the case of the innovative window fittings for the Hueck Lambda WS 075 (IS) and WS 090 (IS) window series, this Hueck maxim is thought through to its logical conclusion.

Thanks to a completely new concept, Hueck fittings now require installation of only a few components, with a reduced number of screws. At the same time, the fittings themselves offer unmatched ease of installation, even in the concealed design. For example, among other advantages, the operating rod can be inserted without machining of the sash profile.

An innovative operating rod concept with clip-in system lengths for different window sizes replaces the push rods that were customary until now. This also removes the need for the associated cutting and punching work.

A variable locking gear concept allows use of all commercial window handles with a 7 mm shank and a 43 mm screw spacing in addition to Hueck’s new, exclusive window handles.

The high-quality door and window handles live up to requirements with their modern, linear design, their extremely pleasant touch and feel, and their outstanding workmanship and quality.

2. LAVA – SYSTEM SUPPLEMENT

2.1. LAVA 77-90 APPROVED AS T90 DOOR

Effective from 19 June 2015, the Lava 77-90 door series has been awarded a general building inspectorate approval with approval number Z-6.20-2245.

The approval applies to the following variants:

T 90-1-FSA “Lava 77-90” and/or

T 90-1-RS-FSA “Lava 77-90” and/or

T 90-2-FSA “Lava 77-90” and/or

T 90-2-RS-FSA “Lava 77-90”

The catalogue and fabrication documents are currently being prepared. Corresponding training events will be held in the fourth quarter of 2015, with separate invitations sent out in September.




3. LAMBDA WS 075 / WS 075 IS / WS 090 / WS 090 IS SYSTEM ADJUSTMENTS

3.1 EXTENSION OF SASH SIZE DIAGRAMS

Thanks to more-detailed long-term reliability tests and extensive trials, it has been possible to further optimise and supplement the sash size diagrams for the Lambda WS 075 and WS 075 IS series.

The corresponding new catalogue pages can be found in the annex; please use these to replace those in your existing documentation.

Basic handling:

The sash size diagrams contain fundamentally different statements and considerations. On the one hand, there is a sash size diagram in relation to each profile geometry; on the other hand, there are also further diagrams for the respective fittings systems.

The diagrams relating to the profile geometry depict the individual sash profile groups according to sash weight and sash dimensions. However, the fields of application that they show refer exclusively to the sash profiles themselves and allow preselection of the respective sash profile group.

In parallel to this, one must always take into account the respective fittings systems. The final options for your individual application are then derived depending on opening variants and the various fittings systems.

For this reason, the diagrams relating to the profile geometry must always be considered in conjunction with the respective opening variants and the selected fittings system and must never be used in complete isolation for the purposes of assessment.

Bei Flügelgewichten größer 60 kg ist dieFüllung statisch mit dem Flügelrahmen zuverkleben.Es wird empfohlen die IS-Verglasung beiliegendem Rahmen durchzuführen.Die Verträglichkeit des Klebers mit demDichtstoff des Glasrandverbundes musssichergestellt sein, da es ansonsten zueinem Versagen der Verklebung kommenkann.Empfehlung: Dow Corning 993 sofern derIsolier-Glasrandverbund mit Materialien ausdem Haus Dow Corning (DC-3362; DC-3793;DC-3-0117; etc.) ausgeführt wurde.Vor dem Kleben sind die Haftflächen desFlügelprofils und der Glasscheibevorzubereiten. Hier ist auf die Vorgaben deseingesetzten Klebers zu achten.

Recommendation: Please use DowCoring 993 if the glass edge isequipped with materials of DowCorning (DC-3362, DC-3793,DC-3-0117, etc.).Before gluing the adhesive surfacesof the sash and the glass pane haveto be prepared.Please note the requirements of theused adhesive.

Ergänzende Hinweise zur Verklebung der IS Flügelrahmen

Verklebung der Verglasung nach Skizze sowie im Bereich des Griffes.In den zu verklebenden Bereichen sind die Dichtungsfüße gemäß den Darstellungen zu entfernen, der Kleber zwischen Dichtungund Profil einzubringen und die Verglasung so einzusetzen, dass eine Verklebung zwischen Glas und Profil entsprechend denDarstellungen gewährleistet ist.

Die Klebstoffmenge ist so zu wählen, dass kein Kontakt mit dem Isolierglas-Randverbund entsteht.Der Falzraum ist von Klebstoff freizuhalten, damit der Dampfdruckausgleich unterhalb des Isolierglasrandverbundes gewährleistetbleibt.

Es ist zu gewährleisten, dass die Scheibe beim Verglasen auf der inneren Verglasungsdichtung aufliegt. Die Verarbeitungszeitdes Klebstoffes ist zu beachten. Unmittelbar nach dem Auflegen der Verglasung, der Klotzung und der Ausrichtung des Flügelssind die Glasleisten mit den entsprechenden Dichtungen zu montieren.

Vor und während des Verklebevorgangs ist auf eine genaue Ausrichtung des Flügelrahmens zur Scheibe zu achten. Die Profilemüssen so fixiert sein, dass sie beim Verkleben weder ausbauchen noch zum Glas hin einfallen. Die Klotzung muss während desVerklebens vorgenommen werden, da nach dem Aushärten des Klebers keine Korrektur mehr möglich ist.

Vor der Weiterverarbeitung ist auf eine ausreichende Aushärtung des Klebstoffes zu achten.

Supplementary notes for the bonding of the IS sash

Bonding of the glazing and in the area of the handle, see sketch (alternativ: drawing, illustration …).In the areas which have to be bonded, the feet of the gaskets have to be removed according to the illustrations.The glue must be applied between the gasket and the profile as well as in the area of the glazing so that the bonding is ensured inaccordance with the illustrations .

The amount of adhesive has to be chosen so as to avoid contact with the glass edge sealing.The rebate is kept free of adhesive so that the steam pressure compensation is guaranteed under the glass edge.It must be ensured that the glass pane rests on the inner glazing gasket during installation.

The processing time of the adhesive has to be noted.

After placing the glass pane, the glazing bridges and the alignment of the sash, all glazing beads have to be fitted with theappropriate gaskets.

Before and during the bonding it is important to ensure accurate alignment of the sash to the glass pane.The profiles must be fixed so that they cannot bend during application nor fall on the glass pane.The support of the glass pane must be made during bonding, since after curing of the adhesive no further correction is possible.

Before continuing an adequate curing of the adhesive must be ensured.
