INTRODUCTION TO ZOOM
Zoom Meeting Link Click on the Zoom meeting link provided to you via email or
as a direct link.
NOTE: If you do not have Zoom, you will be prompted to download and launch Zoom. This will only happen the first time if you don’t have the app already installed.
1) Download zip file2) Click on the file 3) Launch the “zoomuslauncher”
Zoom Meeting Link Open the Zoom desktop client.
Join a meeting using one of these two methods:1. Click Join Meeting if you want to join without signing in. You will
need to enter a Display Name. OR2. Sign in to Zoom and then click Join.
Once the host has joined the meeting, you will have the option to join audio by 1) Computer or 2) Phone. You will need to pick one.
If you choose computer, you do not need to dial-in via phone. Make sure your microphone is turned on or muted as needed.
If you have dialed in by phone and have audio on the computer, it will create double audio. So you need to select phone.
Audio for Meeting
If your computer does not have a camera, you can still participate in the Zoomcall.
With no video enabled, you will type your name on entry and your view will look like your name written below.
If you have added an image to your Zoom profile, then that image will appear.
You can still chat and use in-meeting options even without video.

Launch Meeting from Browser
If you are having problems with the Zoom link, you can launch the meeting through a browser.
You can turn on or off video if you have a camera on your computer. At the bottom left, click on Start Video to turn off.
If you dialed-in via phone, you may want to check to make sure your computer is on mute to prevent double audio.
Participants can use the Chat feature to ask questions or make comments during the meeting.
Hosts can share their screen with the participants in the meeting, take polls, and even create breakout rooms.
Options During Meeting
One you are in the chat menu, there are options to engage.
You can ask a question to everyone or to an individual participant.
You can use symbols to express different things.
Chat Options
1) Dislike 2) Like 3) Clap 4)Need a Break 5) Away
At the top of your screen, you can toggle between “Speaker” view or “Grid” view.
Grid view is a nice option if you want to see the faces of all of the participants.
Speaker view is a good option if you want to focus on the presentationbeing shared.

Meetings can be recorded for access later by participants or to share with those that were not in attendance.
Both visuals and audio can be recorded.
Host will have access to share recorded link after the meeting as a follow up.
