Investment Banker Preston Fontenot Organizes Charity Event forHomeless Austinites

The owner and chief partner of the investment firm Trade Global Partners, Inc., PrestonFontenot has been hugely successful in his career as an investment banker. Coming fromhumble beginnings, he knows the importance of a stable home for families raisingchildren and for people trying to get on their feet. Fontenot loves to work in hiscommunity, so he organized a basketball event for his community called The 3-on-3Hoopathon to raise money for a new housing project near where he lives in Austin.

The event will be held on May 3, 2015 in the downtown area, and will feature some ofthe best street ball players in the city. There will be a competitive and non-competitiveleague for all ages to enjoy playing basketball in the park. Preston Fontenot is also ahuge basketball fan, and he says that he was inspired by watching kids play on theplayground in one of the parks he frequents throughout the city. The tournament willfeature a championship-style bracket for the kids so that they can feel what it’s like toexperience championship basketball.

Preston Fontenot loves to share his love of basketball with the younger generation. Withthis charitable project, he can share that love with many people in his community andraise money for a good cause. He says that the problem of chronic homelessness needsto be met with kindness and action, not words and political posturing. Fontenot loves toknow that he is making a difference in his community with his service and theorganization of The 3-on-3 Hoopathon.

Preston Fontenot has donated time and resources to many different national and localnonprofit organizations, including the American Heart Association, the Susan G. KomenFoundation for the Cure, and Habitat for Humanity. Fontenot says that working withinhis community is a highly rewarding experience for him and his family. He hopes tocontinue to contribute in any way he can to his local neighborhood and all of the peoplewithin it. He says that the best way to lead a healthy, happy, productive life is to enjoyone’s work and give back when he can. He tries to exemplify those values every day.
