Fibre IdentificationReputed Fibre Composition 95% Pnw 5% Nylon

Pre Treatment:The sample for Cigarette and Match was cleansed using a water-soak procedure at 40±1 C as described inBS EN 1021-1-2:200GAnnex D and then line dried.

The sample for Ignition source 5 was cleansed using a water-soak procedure at 40±1 C as described in BS5852:2006, Annex E and then line dried.

Conditioning:The sample for Cigarette and Match was conditioned at ambient conditions, followed by conditioning in astandard atmosphere having a temperature of 23± 2 C and a relative humidity of 50±5% r.h for a minimum of24 hours.

The sample for Ignition Source 5 was conditioned at ambient conditions for 72 hours and then in a standardatmosphere having a temperature of 23±2°C and a relative humidity of 50±5% r.h for a minimum of 24 hours

Comments on the Results

The fabric sample supplied meets the requirements of 85 EN 1021-1-2:2006Smouldering Cigarette and Matchtest) BS 5852:2006 Ignition Source 5 and can be classified as Medium Hazard’.
