Best night-life activity he: his again goes to El Rancho Orig inal on the Pork Highway. she: Enough with the Pork Highway al ready. For something more sophisticated, you can’t beat sipping mojitos at an oceanfront restau- rant along Avenida Ashford. Wanted to spend money on he: Pinchos. I took every chance I got to stop at a roadside stand and sample a morsel of these chicken (let’s hope it was chicken, anyway) delights. she: What didn’t I want to spend money on? Jewelry in San Juan, bikinis in Rincon, fresh coffee beans in San Sebastian. Not shopping in Puerto Rico is a daily test of will. Never again would I ... he: Go kayaking on the bioluminescent bay tour. It’s amazing and all, but a bit tame for me. she: Brave El Y unque  without bug spray. It’s the only tropical rain- forest in the U.S. National Forest system, so exploring it is a must. But at least we ar sleeves.
