This product resulted from a careful study design and competent, is built with quality materials that have been Know-worked-out by highly qualified using HDF machines components electrical and electronic choices, are of high quality. These materials and the processing system ensure that our product is to have a good use and a long life. Before using the thermo stove, carefully read the instructions in this book, where you will find all the information required for installation, operation and security of the same. Remember that the first time the thermo should be performed by an authorized by the plumbing that will verify the installation and compile the regular warranty certificate accompanied by a declaration of conformity, according to Law 37/08 (ex 46/90), issued by fitter who carried out the connection to the plumbing.

GENERAL WARNINGS

• This manual has been prepared by the manufacturer and is incorporated into the product and must be preserved carefully by the user. The instructions contained herein apply to both the thermo "Daphne" and for "Mini Dafne" for "Energy" and the "Arianna", having as the only element of the diversification potential of warming and the overall dimensions (see specifications techniques to p. 5, 6, 7 and 8). • Before connecting the heater to the heating system, and proceed to the first power, carefully read all instructions contained therein. • This unit is for use with pellets of maximum diameter 6 mm according to standard CEN / TS 14961, and not the other type of fuel. Using any other product can affect the proper function of stove, making void the warranty, with all consequent responsibility of the user. • Improper installation and / or poor maintenance can cause injury to persons, animals or things, in which case the manufacturer shall be deemed exempt from all civil and criminal.

WARNINGS SAFETY

Before the first power of Thermo Stove, verify that: • The heating system is full of water, with a pressure of at least 1,2 bar;

• Inside system there is no air since (1) , if it happens, the WATER SECUTITY PRESSURE SWITCH switch would not allow the lighting;

• The pump works and there is not blocked in; if this happens, unblock using the windmill screw from the circulator front side;

• Exhaust pipe and inlet air pipe are clean, for good pellet combustion.

RULES OF PROPER USE • Glass has to be cleaned when is cold, NEVER HOT;

• Do not open door during operation, this would cause the release of smoke and fire sparks

• In case of breakage of glass does not use boiler before did not provided to replace it;

• Take care not to place flammable materials in the immediate vicinity of stove;

• Do not use flammable liquids to light the stove;

• During refueling not allow the bag in contact with the hot stove;

• The tank lid must remain closed pellets, it is only open during fuel.

• The bags of pellets must be kept away from the stove, is a minimum of at least 1,5 m;

• You should always have at least half a tank of pellets;

• Before performing any cleaning and / or maintenance, disconnect the appliance from the mains, by acting on the device or upstream, pulling the plug.

NOTE:

(1) Unscrew the cap placed over the vent "Jolly" and push down the float contained in it until it will release a small amount of water.

COMPONENTS USE

In this section are listed, simplified, the components use of Thermo stove in order to give an overview of the need for use and operation of the product. • SPARK PLUGS: are positioned at the base of the brazier, used for starting combustion. • MOTOR: Start the screw conveyor movement for dragging pellets from the tank to the crucible. • SMOKE FAN:: Push combustion smokes outside and bring inside the combusting air. • PUMP: Push water in to heating system. • * PLANT EXCHANGER: Produces water for domestic use. • *TREE WAYS VALVE AND FLOW INDICATOR: Give priority to domestic water production on heating system.

N O T E

The stove should be provided with a room thermostat in order to fully utilize all its capabilities. However it is not supplied as standard, given the multitude of products on the market, leaving the buyer to choose one you like. The thermostat should be positioned on the wall, preferably in a different environment from that in which according to the stove, placed at a minimum height of 120 cm from the floor and must be connected to the thermo by means of an electric cable. Upon reaching the set temperature on the thermostat the heating circuit is closed via the three-way valve, the thermo waits for new request heating or hot water.

SAFETY DEVICES Listed below are the safety devices installed on the stove. Please read this section carefully so as to control the proper operation and to avoid any failures or malfunctions due to negligence by the user in order not to encumber or seek to break up the other components of the product. • WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR: Check water temperature into system and send to the checking switchboard, connecting in this way pump operation and power modulation. If temperature gets high, display send an alarm and stove stops working. • SAFETY THERMOSTAT WITH MANUAL RESET: Constantly check water temperature into stove and, in case ich is high than 90°C, it stops screw conveyor and fuel sending. • SAFETY VALVE 3 bar: It starts when water pressure inside system exceeds operation pressure (max 1,2 bar), reaching the limit 3 bar, valve setting pressure; valve is open and causing water outlet. An exhaust pipe is required. • MANOMETER: Located under fuel tank cap, it allow water pressure checking inside system (optimal pressure 1,2 bar cold). • WATER PRESSURE: In case of water deficiency in the stove, or no sufficient pressure, it stops feed of screw conveyor and fuel sending. • SMOKE THERMOCOUPLE: Placed on smoke exhaust and it checks their temperature, it regulates the combustion and, in case of anomaly (too high temperature) alarm 1 is show on display, stove is blocked. • SMOKEC PRESSURE SWITCH: Checks regular smokes flow through the fan. If it presents a depressore , due to chimney obstructions (soot or other), breaks stove • EXPANSION VESSEL: It absorbs water volume increase due to overheating, it’s located at base of boiler. • JOLLY VRNT: ÉIt’s on the upper side of the stove and allow exit of air inside boiler.

FUNCTIONING

The Thermo stove “DAFNE” is prepared for two functioning ways:

USING ROOM THERMOSTAT

Temperature you want to reach in the room has to be set on the thermostat, while the temperature of modulation of the water in the boiler, of 65 º C, is setted into parameters (H2O). When this temperature is reached, taking the thermo regulates itself to a minimum and stays there until the maximum operating temperature (70 º C). Reached that value the thermo initiates the switch-off phase, when the boiler water temperature is lowered to 4 ° C (taking in 66 º C) starts automatically the step of re-ignition . Thanks to this mode of operation has the advantage to have available hot water always ready for use, and, for this reason the thermo stove can also be used in SUMMER, only for the production of domestic hot water. The poaaibility of using each functionality of stove, requie installation of room thermostat; if this has not been installed, the stove will work continuously only with pre – set parameters.

• The thermo stove can only burn pellets with the characteristics described by the standard CEN / TS 14961 (Ø 6 mm max.), which combustion is handled electronically. The heat that flows from it is transmitted, after several passages in the exchange circuit with high efficiency, water contained in the heat exchanger.

• The fuel tank is placed in the upper part of the thermo stove and the filling is done by opening a door above the coating.

• The fuel is drawn into the burner by means of an auger operated by a geared motor. • The ignition of the pellets takes place using two electric resistances which, after a preheating

phase, transfer the thermal power required trigger of combustion. • The smoke extractor, a centrifugal fan, promotes combustion by drawing combustion air to

the outbreak taking it from an external air intake. • If the combustion air intake to happen from within an environment is necessary to create

an air hose to replenish the oxygen removed so as to facilitate air exchange effective as prescribed in the standard UNI 10339 / 95 in function of the environment occupied.

• The combustion fumes are sucked by the centrifugal fan and sent, in a forced way, towards an outlet union, on the back, bottom, which must be connected to the outside through a steel pipe (Ø 100 mm).

• The ash produced by combustion of the pellets fall into the hopper. This tray should be emptied whenever necessary so as not to impede or affect the proper combustion.

• Water inside stove is heated and sent to thermic system through a pump.

Hot Domestic Water is continuously produced (≈10 l/min) with an increase ∆T 25º C, by a plate heat exchanger, specially installed which constitutes a secondary circuit and separated, only for the heating of the water used for domestic purposes . At the time of the request, comes into operation a flow switch that, by acting on a three-way valve, will give priority to the domestic water, by bringing together all the power of the thermo stove to the sanitary circuit. Fuel quantity, smoke extraction, combustion air request, pump starting, daily or weekly schedules are determined by an electronic switch in order to optimized the stove performance.

NOTE TO SPECIFICATION PER “THERMO STOVE WITHOUT HOT DOMESTIC WATER”

For applications requiring thermo stove without hot domestic water , a feature available on all models, we point out that this type of thermo stove works exclusively through the room thermostat by which you set the desired temperature in the environment. Once you reach that value, detected by the thermostat, stove reduces, automatically, its operating power to the minimal function, while continuing to work without interruption, to go off only in the presence of explicit user request, called up from the small panel of control or in the case where the water reaches the temperature of 80° C.

INSTALLAZIONE The installation of the thermo stove should be performed by qualified personnel who, following the safety rules and technical standards, release, following an audit, a statement of compliance (conformity declaration) with the L.37/08 (ex 46/90). In order to obtain optimum operation of our product it is necessary to pay attention to some expedients.

• Thermo stove has to be installed away from curtains, tissue, furnishing or whatever else could cause fires.

• Connect the exhaust of the fumes to an existing chimney or playing in the wall of a hole diameter of 100 mm, from which it is possible to make out a steel pipe of equal diameter and outside the building to a height of at least 2 meters. Ensure that the jointsof the pipes are perfectly sealed with heat resistant silicone seal. (see graph)

• Place a T for inspection between exhaust fumes of stove and the conduit to make a good cleaning of the flue for routine maintenance and any extraordinary. (see graph)

• If the stove is installed in a building with walls potentially flammable must be placed between the wall and the flue gas duct an insulating sleeve, this arrangement is to be adopted even when crossing of the roof by the tailpipe. (see graph)

• If thermo stove is installed in a building with flammable walls, it is necessary to put between wall and smokes exhaust pipe an insulating sleeve continuing along its passage through the roof too.

• Ensure that the environment where you place the thermo there is sufficient air to permit efficient combustion. If it does not try to take air in through openings in the walls of the room to ventilate. Connect, necessarily, directly the suction pipe of the combustion air outside, taking care not to obstruct. (see graph)

• Thermo stove must be connected to the mains upstream installing an interception device (circuit breaker - differential), so as to place it in a safe condition.

• If you are using an external chimney, to avoid problems related mainly to the condensation of vapor in the flue gas anhydrous, is required to insulate the same.

HYDRAULIC CONNECTION

The water connections must be made by competent or qualified, to ensure and certify compliance of the system according to the Law 37/08 (ex L. 46/90) respecting the existing legislation, in particular, referring to UNI 10683/98 and by carefully following the manufacturer's instructions. • Thermo stove does never have to work without water in the system, since in this case it could be seriously damaged.

• Before running the hydraulic connection make sure that the mains water does not present a hardness greater than 15 º f (hard water15 to 32 º f) if the conditions of departure it is found, it is necessary to use a water softener, or of an inhibitor of limestone-based polyphosphate salts.

• Connect thermo stove to hydraulic sistem, to the domestic hot water system and to heating system, using flexible pipes at least cm 50 long for moving easly the same in case of maintenance.

POWER ON

Thermo stove lighting and switching off goes through the On/Off . During the ignition phase lasts from 15 to 25 minutes, in this time interval the glow plugs shall to trigger the ignition of the pellets into the combustion chamber. The procedure is indicated by a series of steps on the display. .

The first start-up phase is indicated by the message CLEANING, HEATING and PRELOAD . This step involves the preheating of the glow plugs, the verify operation of the fireplace and the subsequent unloading of pellets into the burner. The next step is indicated by the message IGNITION that shows the appearance of the first outbreaks and remains until the temperature of the flue gas reaches the control value, confirming the ignition occurs. !! Warning! From the on set of outbreaks will spend a few minutes before the ignition phase is complete.

After the phase of the thermo stove passes to the next step, shown as STABILIZES , necessary to the normalization of the flame, before the operation SCHEME.

!!Warning!! If the thermo stove is turned off the flame continue to be present until exhaustion of the fuel contained in the burner. This phase may last for several minutes. During shutdown the message SHUTDOWN appears on the display until the end of the transaction.

The temperatures are detected through the use of two thermocouples placed respectively, in the heat exchanger and the flue gas outlet nut.

On the line has visible the half-hour programmable.

To change half- hour push the buttons and to go back and forth, while pressing

buttons and activates or deactivates half - hour. For the days of week using the

button , eventually returns to the previous screen. At the end, with arrow key returns to the main screen.

RECOVERY OPERATION MANUAL RECOVERY OPERATION OF THERMO STOVE

If during normal operation of Thermo stove shutdown was request by the button OFF , on the console, this phase will begin. To restart Thermo stove have to wait that shutdown cycle is termineted, it’s possible, howere, force

the ignition through the pressure, for many second, the key . This maneuver makes sure that one can jump across the preheating phase and ignition, passing directly to the stabilization phase of the flame. This command is useful in cases of accidental shutdown by the user, you should wait until the whole cycle off (about 20 minutes) before you can turn back the thermo stove.

PARAMETERS

This sections is manly used by builder and technicians for changing, when necessary, functions parameters of thermo stove. The access to this menu is limited by a password, in order to avoid possible or unintentional tampering by the user that could cause a wrong functionally of the thermo stove, modifying main programming parameters. The builder pre-set values, according to careful tests, done with high quality feed (beech wood pellets). These values give best performance and it would be better never changing them, unless necessary due to room and weather changes, or different quality of pellets used. In these cases, it’s possible to change values through the control panel, on menu PARAMETERS.

MAINTENANCE

A good working of the system and the system duration depends from a right and periodic maintenance; for this reason we recommend as follow: • Before doing anything on the system, disconnect it from the electricity network;

• Proceed with any kind of maintenance only when thermo stove is off and cool.

ASSISTANCE

DAILY • Remove the crucible from the inside of Thermo stove and get fre holes in the case they have been blocked from ashes;

• Cacuum up any residue from the port crucible;

•Let fall in the lower drawer any combustion residue from the brazier;

• If necessary, clean the glass using non abrasive products;

• Clean smokes pipes using (4-5 times) lever on the upper side of back panel of. This operation ensures the removal of any deposits presents in sooty smoke ducts, ensuring greater efficiency of Thermo stove;

• If necessary, empty the ashes collecting. MONTHHLY • Inspect the chimney pipe; clean in case there is soot along the pipe side;

• In case there is a reduced functioning of the Thermo stove, it’s important to inspect the upper side of exchanger, where is installed the smoking pipe cleaning system. It’s easy to do it by removing the hermetic cover from the upper side of the exchanger. (photo 1,2,3,4)

YEARLY • Have it checked, if necessary, clean, all electrical and mechanical systems of which the thermo and equipped;

• Inspect and clean the top of the heat exchanger, where you place the mechanism for cleaning the flue. This is done by removing the lid sealed on the top instead of the heat exchanger, in order to proceed aspiration of residual dust;

• Remove the two plugs within the combustion chamber and the two side caps and vacuum dust residues; (photo 5,6,7,8)

Remove the smokes extraction and clean the finds of the fan being careful not to damage. (photo 9,10)

FAILURE IDENTIFICATIONAND SOLUTION If thermo stove does not came on check thata: - There is a pressure of 1,2 bar; - There is electic connection to the network; - The door is closed; - Pellets get to the burner; - Tank contains enough pellets;. - Air combustion pipe is free; - The exhaust pipe is no blocked with sot; - Tension gets to electric parts ( engine, fan, etc.) - Once checked alla bove, let qualified people to replace the broken part. IF PUMP DOES NOT COME ON: - Check that there is tension in the network when each part ha sto work; - Check that these is no blocked; if this happens, work on the screw in the front side of pump. We suggest this kind of check before each yearly start up, or else after long time of not working.

WARRANTY

ETA KAMINI ITALIA S.a.s. guarantees your product against defects in construction and itrecognizes the validity for a period of 2 YEARS from the date of first ignition with the exception of electrical or electronic components (smoke extractor, small panel with electronic controls and electromagnetic filter), for which warranty is given by the manufacturer and covers a period of 6 MONTHS. NB: The first ignition must be executed by an authorized technician who will then carefully fill out the warranty card. The same will be paid by the user WARRANTY IS VALID PROVIDED THAT:

- installing techician supply a conformity declaration in according to Law 37/08 (modified Law 46/90); - system in installed and used as reported to instruction book; - the warranty attached to this manual, is completed in all its parts and send to the factory; - the appliance should be serviced by qualified personnel, authorized directly by the factory.

WARRANTY IS NOT VALID:

- For damages caused by: atmospheric, chemical, electrochemical, fire, negligence or malpractice, defective electrical system, lack of maintenance, product tampering, ineffectiveness of the fireplace, use of fuel other than that prescribed. - To change the color coated steel, the cracking and crazing of the ceramics, the morphological diversity of the marble panels may be chosen, as reactions and characteristics of natural materials. - For all electrical, electronic and subject to wear: seals, glass, the burner. - For damage caused by transport, it is recommended, therefore, to inspect the product upon .

- ETA KAMINI ITALIA S.a.s. disclaims any direct or indirect damages to persons, animals or things, depending on the use of the product. - It is recognized, also, any compensation for the period of inefficiency. - Operations performed under warranty will not extend the period of the card. - For all calls, including those relating to the warranty period, will apply a charge for the call.
