Our theme this year is “Man Up” and is meant to help participants feel
more confident in using their situations to honor God. Our Keynote
Speaker is new to speaking in Florida, but has a gift for words! B. Chris
Simpson is a graduate of Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas where
he currently resides. He will be delivering our lessons over the course of
the weekend. Paul Huyghebaert will be joining us to lead worship on
Friday and Saturday, and Comedian David Dean will close out our week-
end on Saturday afternoon.

Singing: You will notice our worship in song is without instrumental accom-
paniment. We believe that a cappella congregational singing both enhances our
personal involvement in worship, and conforms to the New Testament example.
Lord’s Supper: Following the example of the early church, we celebrate the
Lord’s Supper every Sunday (Acts 20:7). Jesus established the practice of sharing
the bread and cup so Christians might remember the sacrifice of his body and blood
to make a new covenant with God possible for us.
Offering: This is the opportunity for our members to support the ongoing
work of this church.
Preaching: The message, is the time when the “good news” is proclaimed
and applied to our lives. We hope you will find it encouraging and Bible-based.
Invitation: At the close of most sermons, an “invitation” is extended. This
provides an opportunity for a public response. These responses may be to state
one’s desire to be baptized, bring a prayer concern before the church family, re-
commit one’s life to the Lord, or be introduced as new members.
If you are interested in studying the Bible, in becoming a Christian, or becoming a
member of the church family here at Northwest Tampa, please make that known
before or after the service to one of our ministers or elders.
WALK WITH GOD—WHO GOD IS!
Our theme for 2013 is “THE EXTRA MILE”. We talked about not being able to go the last mile with Jesus until you go the second mile, but before the second is the first mile.
Let me tell you a little about who God is. Before the world was created God who is self existent, eternal, RULED (1Jn. 5:7-8). God the Father is the great architect, the designer of all things. He laid out the plans, He spoke and it was done. How far back in the ages of the past the heavens and the earth were created NO HUMAN KNOWS.
There are three that bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness on earth, the Spirit, the Water, and the Blood and these three agree as one.
The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit existed before the world was and each performed a definite work in the creation of all things as they did in the redemption of mankind. Read these scriptures: Gen. 1:1 He created, Ps. 19:1 the heavens declare, Acts 14:15-17 He gave us, Jn. 1:1-3 all things made, Col. 1:15-17 visible and invisible, Rev. 22:13 He is the beginning and the end.
~Hayward
Your choice to join us in worship to God is a blessing to
us. You are our honored guests and It is our privilege to
welcome you this morning. If you have not previously
worshipped with the Northwest Tampa Church of Christ,
we would like to familiarize you with our service. Our style
of worship is simple, patterned after the examples and
teachings of the earliest Christians in the New Testament.

Keith’s Kitchen…
Keith’s Kitchen is an op-
portunity to support our
work in Honduras. Each
Wednesday at 6:15PM
Keith prepares a deli-
cious meal. The teens help with the
dessert, drinks and clean-up. All
proceeds go to the accounts of stu-
dents who help. There is no set fee
but your generous checks should be
made to Tampa Youth Missions.
Dessert this week: D & E Boyer, L
Johnson, Garcia. Mark your calen-
dars for Wednesday, February 13
when we will have our Valentine
Honduras Fundraiser Dinner. We
want to raise EXTRA money for two
more homes to be built in Honduras.
Don’t miss this SPECIAL meal and
invite your friends and neighbors.
NLBS...
“He is the Rock, his works are per-
fect, and all his ways are just.
A faithful God who does no wrong,
upright and just is he.” Deut. 32:4
God is our Rock. Becoming Living Stones begins with understanding that we are reflections of the One who made us. We are created in His image. Living Stone faith flows from the truth that God is our Rock. Hav-ing the kind of faith that can stand firm and deliberately choose Jesus in a world that challenges us to accept pet Rock faith requires having a clear picture of the One who calls us to be like Him. Is God your Rock? We hope you will attend the Neighborhood Ladies Bible Study that begins this Wednesday, Janu-ary 23 at 10:00AM in Fellowship-2. We will be using the study guide by Casandra Martin entitled Living Stones. The cost for this study guide is $10. Please see Rama Patterson or MaryAnn Forcht to get your copy.

2nd-5th Graders Valentine Love Pro-

musical instrument. Contact
[email protected] if your child

playing bingo with the residents.
Honduras Item of the Week…
In preparation for our annual mission
trip to Honduras, we collect house-
hold items January to June that will
be given as a gift to the ladies. Most
needed are large wooden spoons
and dish cloths. Personal care items
such as combs, brushes, lotions and
soaps may also be donated. A basket
will be located on the table in F-1
along with a sign giving the “Item of
the Week”. The ladies in Honduras
have so little and are so appreciative
of anything we can share with them.
Please limit to the above items.
F@H Corner…
Make this week your Tuesday TWO,
read two chapters in the
new testament aloud
