Hunger games in Jackson Hole? Not really. Visitors and locals alike faceenough challenges just trying to meet Mother Nature on all her terms andterrain. No sense tossing dining out into the search for a good time in ourvalley. A diverse complement of local eateries ensures every palette a placeat the table.

Living well and dining well are not just ideals. For those diners who de-mand that eating and good times be celebrated at a more leisurely pace, afair portion of not-so-well-kept secret haunts guarantees full-course satis-faction. Some folks, though, pressed for time, want simply to grab a bagel,a sandwich, maybe just a dulce before bolting into the backcountry to hike,bike, climb, angle, or simply to ogle. So there’s also no shortage here of ef-ficiently, well prepared meals-to-go or to grab on the run.

“Food is an important part of a balanced diet,” notes author and wit Fran

Lebowitz. Some would add “balanced budget” to the aphorism. This isJackson Hole after all. And many visitors—and locals—are here to get themost out of their time in mountain country. A quick scan of our restaurantsreveals enterprises with menu items for every taste and for every pocket-book. From cuisine to down-home cooking, and in establishments tony tofamily style.

So don’t fret about the food while in our valley. Go with your gut after aperusal of our list.
