  • Hugs for Cubs foundation assists local families fighting with cancer by sponsoring a Hugs for Cubs kid to travel to a Major League game during this summer. This foundation was established in the year 1995 through the motivation of Foresters pitcher Eric Pintard.

He was diagnosed with a rare type of spinal cancer and battled back to take the mound to begin the 1998 season. Through his own determination, Mr. Pintard celebrated his life, and lived it to the fullest. The best college baseball players of America come to Santa Barbara every summer to play for the 2006 as well as 2008 NBC World Series National Champion Santa Barbara Foresters.

He enrolled in the university in the year 2007 and received his Bachelor's degree in the year 2011. He was an active player of the baseball team of the university and had played many games.

He is a prestigious member of many groups, including UCSB Alumni, the University of Santa Barbara, and UCSB Sports Professionals.
