Self-portrait of
myself as
1. Create 3 digital self-portraits that are either recognizable or abstract. Images can each be an individual exploration of the media, or can be
apart of a consecutive series.
2. Search the web or import photos of yourself or objects that represent you. Save all images in a folder, entitled "Self-portrait"
Images should be larger than 150dpi
3. In your journal, think and write about the qualities, traits or characteristicsyou embody and objects that could represent you.Questions to think about:
How can I express my many different sides?
How can I reinvent myself for various purposes or times in my life?
How am I changing from day to day or year to year?
Who do I want to become?
4. Create a new Photoshop document. Save as "your name" in your "Self-portrait" folder.
Your documents can be any size, and may be horizontal or vertical.
As you are making 3 final images for this assignment, number the filesin order of sequence.

5. For each self-portrait, import the files into one document. Utilize the selection tools, Photoshop filters, layer properties, color
adjustments tool (hue, saturation, brightness, contrast, levels, etc.) Text is optional and is considered a layer.
5. Use the checklist below to double-check your work. Print out in color,mount it and turn it in for critique.
When you are done have teacher check your work BEFORE you print itout.
