An Introduction of Our Services and Capabilities

Kemada have significant expertise with standalone M&E turnkey projects. We work extensively in the public sectors, and have completed a vast number of contracts for works associated with the following industry sectors; Rail, Water Utilities, Building sector, MOD, and MEICA works associated with

Renewable Energy Projects.

Working in the commercial, public and leisure sectors we are able to provide stand alone lighting, power, external lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm (Life Systems), intruder alarm, CCTV and access control services for projects ranging in value from £5,000 up to £1,500,000.

In addition we have taken our knowledge and experience gained from working with the UK’s major water utility companies (Severn Trent Water, Welsh Water, Thames Water, Anglian Water) and asset management of water systems working with the Environment Agency and Kelda Water services

(Defence) Ltd on behalf of the MOD, to undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance and asset renewal of various Sewage and Surface Water Pumping Systems, Chemical Dosing and Water Quality Monitoring equipment.

At Kemada we realise the importance of customer satisfaction and the thorough completion of all projects. It is important to us that when we complete any project our customers have sufficient information to enable them to

operate and maintain their assets including all equipment supplied and installed by Kemada in a safe and competent manner.

Our O&M Manuals are of the highest quality. We not only provide hard copies of the literature in an easy to follow manual, but we also provide an easy to navigate electronic interactive manual on all projects completed.

These can be uploaded to client intranet sites or databases for easy access and archiving.

Our Head Office located at Marshall House in Heanor, Derbyshire and Regional Office in Plymouth, Devon, enables us to service the whole of the UK efficiently and as required by our customers.

We pride ourselves on having a fully Integrated Management System which is compliant with the relevant standards for Quality / Environmental / Health and Safety accreditation, including members of ROSPA, Achilles

(LINK-UP) and NICEIC, Constructionline including Acclaim SSIP.

Every contract is project managed, including full MEICA design, manufacture, installation, testing and commissioning. Once the schemes have been completed Kemada can offer a service agreement, whereby we manage the asset and undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance along with EaWR

periodic testing and inspections to minimising the risk of break-downs and plant failures.

Our personnel are all CSCS accredited and are fully competent and trained to a very high standard in the works they undertake, and operate nationally with JIB / NICEIC accredited electricians and mechanical fitters. All operatives are MOD Security Cleared and Criminal Record Bureau

CAD Design, 3D Modelling and Laser Survey Technology

3D Laser Surveys are a process that has become very affordable to everyone in business today. At Kemada we have had lots of success using this technology and when combined with our 3D CAD skills and abilities we can produce very accurate concepts as well as ‘As built’ 3D models to 2D drawings.

When projects demand it or we simply need to capture information faster we will utilise the latest laser scanning survey equipment creating Point Clouds for use in the latest CAD software.

Our point clouds can also be used on their own for reviews prior to starting work on a project and to scrutinise completed successful site installations. Laser scanning gives us the flexibility we need to work closely with our suppliers and also gain the edge over our competition.

2D drawings and Design Documentation Kemada provide a comprehensive design service for our clients on each project with our design teams producing all required documentation including 2D manufacturing and installation drawings, P&ID (Process & Instrumentation Diagrams), electrical single line diagrams and all types of installation illustrations.

Water and Utilities

Working for the UK’s major Water Companies via sub-contract work scope packages, Kemada have undertaken both small and large project management and installation contracts throughout England, Scotland and Wales for both Clean and Dirty Water treatment applications.

Working with the demands and operational constraints of the customer and end user, we have completed schemes to the complete satisfaction of our clients, managing tasks in accordance with our Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental standards, whilst maintaining continuous process delivery through managing tasks efficiently.

We are able to encompass within our scope the full MEICA project management and installation with regards to Instrumentation/Control/Automation, undertaking site containment, cabling, testing and commissioning works. We are able to provide technical consultation in optimising end user requirements and design layouts, in conjunction with mechanical layout associated with pumping systems, pipework, valves, access covers, operator safety guards / barriers, access platforms working closely with our supply chain.

All staff are accredited to the current National Water Hygiene certification for working within clean water / restricted environments. We have also undertaken full training for works associated with Confined Space Entry, Lifting Operations & Working from Heights.

Rail

Working with the UK’s leading Construction/Framework partners of Network Rail and privately owned train operating companies; East Midlands Trains, Chiltern Railways, May Gurney, Morgan Sindall and Bombardier Transportation we are actively undertaking multi-disciplined scope of works on sites throughout the UK. With an exemplary track record, Kemada are fully accredited to undertake activities associated with Mechanical, LV and HV Electrical supplies, and associated civil and building works to deliver both complex and turnkey projects.

All site personnel undergo drugs and alcohol testing and possess a valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) accreditation. Additional specialist training includes; CSCS, IPAF, PASMA for undertaking works at height.

Rail

Our current range of projects include:

• Providing new Lighting and Power supplies to lift installation to comply with current DDA regulations

• Canopy lighting, CCTV, Access Control, CIS Screens, Fire Alarm systems

Ministry of Defence

Kemada have completed a large number of projects working with Kelda Water Services (Defence) within the MOD Sector working within the Project Aquatrine Framework to operate and maintain the Ministry of Defence's water and wastewater assets within England and Wales.

Renewable EnergyKemada are involved with a number of Power generation schemes throughout the UK, working on contracts associated with Waste to Energy for projects in connection with:

Wind Farm Power Generation:

Kemada completed the design, HV/LV electrical installation, transformer and switchgear for a 750kW Wind Turbine on behalf of The Hydrogen Office, Scotland. The renewable energy is similar to most other Wind Turbine systems where the energy produced is used directly as a source of heat and power, whilst unlike any other traditional installations the design includes a hydrogen fuel cell, thus allowing excess wind energy to be captured and stored as hydrogen. The complete design & install is a prototype system where the energy from the turbine is used to separate water into Hydrogen and Oxygen.

PV Solar Power Plants:

Working with Europe's largest Solar Providers, Kemada have installed PV Solar Power Plants to green field sites providing over 9MW of combined power. We are delighted to have been involved in such prestigious projects which includes not only the longest PV Solar Power Plant within the UK but also the largest. Our equipment supply and installation covered both the High & Low Voltage infrastructures which make up a PV Solar Power Plant.

Renewable Energy

Gasification Plants:

Kemada provided full electrical detailed design associated with the HV/LV and switchgear assembly and site cabling for a Waste to Energy Gasification Plant on behalf of Withion Power.

Biomass Fuel Handling:

Kemada has many years of experience involving the design, supply and installation of biomass handling systems for industries including; coal fired power stations and the food industry.

High Voltage
