Appvocate Volunteer

* During my educational career at ASU I volunteered for the SDAP program which allows students with Intellectual Disabilities to attend college through a two year program. This particular student was a recent graduate of Watauga High School and was able to take CPR, Life guarding and Appalachian Music Studies classes. My volunteer job consisted of one hour a week spending time with this student in the community visiting the library and various shops in Boone. I provided extra tutoring help to this student and provided assistance with money skills. More importantly, I helped her have a fulfilling college experience that everyone deserves!
