Gday again folks and welcome to the weekly. A bit of a topsy turvey week on the island with a rather dark few days after the passing of our good friend Mr Max. I have spoken to many people about the tragic loss and it seems the sentiment is about the same, as far as everyone is concerned. He will be terribly missed. It seems the powers that be want all the good blokes at the minute with the world losing Robin Williams in the last week. It seemed he was making us all laugh with his antics and fantastic comedy and the entire time he was suffering on the inside to the point that he decided to take his own life. Another tragic loss to the family and those left behind all I can say.

R.I.P Robin Williams.

Moving along and on a much nicer note this week I'd like to introduce one of our newest sponsors to the paper being “ATITHI” which is arguably one of the best Indian Restaurants on the island. The benefits of having Indian chefs and imported spices are something that you really have to try to believe! Mukesh has a wonderful restaurant with friendly staff in a lovely setting. Do yourself a favour and check their advert out on page…… take the paper with you as they currently are running a 10% discount on the food bill if you take the paper with you…now that's certainly worth trying out, you won't leave with an empty stomach and I'm sure it will be on your “to go again” list. Thanks again to Mukesh at “ATITHI” and we look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with us and our readers at the Kuta Weekly.

I was boarding my flight back to Bali a few days ago and was having a chat with some people who were at the gates talking about Bali and what I do here, they said that they were avid readers of the Kuta Weekly and really enjoyed the paper each week and get the online version when they are back in Australia. It just goes to show how far and wide the Kuta Weekly is travelling now. I was also thanked by another gentleman this morning on the obituary that we ran last week for our good friend Max. So thank you to the wonderful people who send us emails and give us kind words around the place, kind of makes the job a whole lot more enjoyable when we get the positive feedback. Don't be scared to drop us an email with some of your experiences here in Bali as we really appreciate it.

Ok folks on that note I will say good bye for another week and let you all roll along with whatever it is you do with your time on the island. I hope the most of you stay safe, happy, healthy and always try to remember, obstacles don't block the path, they are the path.

Enjoy Your Week.. Aliasj….

Bali Safari & Marine Park Seeks God's B l e s s i n g o n 'Tumpek Kandang' – a Day Dedicated to Animals

Important in the c a l e n d a r c y c l e o f Balinese festivals is Tumpek Kandang Day – dedicated to seeking God's blessing on the a n i m a l k i n g d o m comprised of both the domesticated animals that share close proximity to man and the animals inhabiting the wild kingdom.

Tumpek Kandang fell on Saturday, August 9, 2014, and was c e l e b r a t e d w i t h s p e c i a l enthusiasm at the Bali Safari and Marine Park that is home to 600 animals.

Gathered at the Bali Theatre inside the park were a broad cross-section of the Safari Park's residents, including elephants, bearcats, orangutans, snakes and colorful macaws.

Two high-caste Bali-Hindu priests – Ida Pedanda Gde Ketut Oka Jelantik Dwipayana and Ida Pedanda Istri Ketut Oka - presided over prayers and rituals to seek

God's blessing on all the park animals, ensuring good health and longevity.

William Santoso, general manager of Bali Safari & Marine Park exp la ined that i t i s essential to appreciate the animal kingdom as fellow inhabitants of the planet created by God.

“ H u m a n l i f e i n enhanced by animals and at the park we are fortunate to have a fine

collection of exotic creatures for our visitors to experience. Tumpek K a n d a n g h a s r e l i g i o u s significance but also highlights that the Balinese community is aware of animal welfare just as we are at Bali Safari and Marine Park,” said Santoso.

Leave it to a Professional

Tourism Leaders Call for their Next Minister to be Drawn from Circle of Professional Tourism PractitionersNational tourism leaders are publicly expressing the hope that the next minister charged with responsibility over tourism in the next presidential cabinet b e a p r o f e s s i o n a l w i t h experience in the national tourism industry.

The cha i rman o f the Indonesian Exhibitors Association (Asperrapi), Effi Setiabudi, and quoted by Bisnis Bali, said in Jakarta that said tourism needs professional management that is able to protect and increase much needed foreign exchange.

“The effects of tourism are felt at every level of society, not only among hoteliers, restaurant operators and transportation companies, but also among

handicraft makers and informal traders who are impacted by tourism activities,” explained Setiabudi.

She cont inued, saying Indonesia's next tourism minister must be someone accustomed to handling tourism and c r e a t i v e e c o n o m y matters because of the

wide effect of tourism on large cross sections of Indonesian society. “Therefore, tourism must be handled by a circle of professionals, and not in a slipshod manner,” she said.

She also explained that tourism generated US$10 billion dollars in foreign exchange in 2013, becoming the fourth largest source of foreign exchange after gas and minerals, coal and palm oil.

Setiabudi said she sees many tourism leaders capable of filling the role of tourism and creative economy minister in the next cabinet. “One example,” she said, “is Yanti Sukamdani who currently heads the Indonesian Tourism Promotion Board (BPPI) . In addition to working for decades in a professional capacity in the country's tourism business, she has also worked in both national

and international tourism organ iza t ions prov ing her expertise in all areas related to tourism.”

Effi Setiabudi added that a minister must have wide-ranging networks and hands that are clean.

E c h o i n g S e t i a b u d i ' s sentiments is I Nyoman Kandia, the president of the Southeast Asia Tour Guide Association and chairman of the Indonesian Guide Association (HPI).

“Experience, networks and professionalism – these are what's important. I think tourism needs an individual to help us rise up and become the main economic force in Indonesia,” said Kandia.

Wiryanti Sukamdani (shown in illustration) is a well-known figure in tourism circles, both in Indonesia and across ASEAN. She serves as the chairman of the BPPI and the chairman of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI). She is a graduate of Cornell University (USA) and has served in the past as the president of ASEAN Tourism Association (ASEANTA) and v ice-cha i rman o f the I n d o n e s i a n C h a m b e r o f Commerce (KADIN).

Mind Your “Qs” and “Pees”Bali Tourism Transport D r i v e r s U n d e r g o Surprise Urinalysis

In an effort to protect tourist visitors to Bali and anticipate the danger posed by drug abuse, a special team comprised of narcotic officers from the Bali police and the anti-narcotics team (BNN) of Gianyar regency conducted urinalysis testing on some 50 tour is t t ransport dr ivers stopping over at the Goa Gajah Temple, in Bedulu, near Ubud, Bali on Tuesday, August 12, 2014.

The surprise urinalysis testing of drivers commenced at 10:00 am with plain clothes off icers inv i t ing tour ism transport drivers to a special testing area.

The head of BNN in Gianyar, Made Pas t i ka , accompanied by the chief narcotics o f f i c e r o f t h e Gianyar po l ice precinct, I Kadek Ardika, said the tests were needed to ensure that drug abuse is absent among tour ism transport drivers. Police also argue that drug abuse in certain circles, such as transport drivers, represents a special threat to public safety and Bali's reputation as a leading tourism destination.

Police said that urinalysis is able to deduct any drug use in a period of up to 3 days preceding the testing.

The test results of the 50 drivers checked on August 12th were not disclosed by police. Authorities said guidance, however, would be given to companies and drivers found to be involved with drugs.

A Bad BargainTourism Leader Warns B a l i T o u r i s m i s Discounting itself into a Second-tier Destination

While Bali has received many internat ional awards r e c o g n i z i n g i t among the world's leading tourism destinations, many leaders in the tourism industry are increasingly concerned that Bali has become a “ b a r g a i n destination” over the past 3-4 years.

T h e chairman of the Indonesian Tourism Association (GIPI), Ida Bagus Ngurah Wijaya, warned that Bali's past success is no guarantee of its continued success. Moreover, he remains deeply concerned that Bali's reputation may be on the downturn.

Q u o t e d b y Beritadewata.com, Wijaya said: “At this time a price war is underway. This has caused the hotels to sell rooms at cheap prices.”

He said that the price war

has had a lead-on effect on tourism transportation, tourism attractions, restaurants, art centers and the creative economy.

Wijaya reasons that Bali as o n e o f t h e b e s t t o u r i s m destinations in the world should be

b o o s t i n g other sectors o f t h e e c o n o m y , when, in fact, the opposite is happening.

Comparing Bali to Malaysia as a tourism destination, Wijaya contends Indonesia is failing to compete. While Malaysia is able to attract 24 million foreign visitors each year, Indonesia only garners 8.8 million foreign tourists.

While Wijaya admits the battle is not merely for the total number of tourists who visit, but

more for the amount of money that foreign visitors spend. Because of this, the trend to sell accommodation cheaply is accompanied by a diminishing length-of-stay for visitors to Indonesia - now standing at 3-

days at five and four star hotels. Three star hotels are recording stays of 4-5 days.

“In fact, in the past the length of stay for foreign tourists was 13-14 days. Now they stay for 3 to 5 days. The length of time is d i m i n i s h i n g , ” explained Wijaya.

P e o p l e visiting Bali are s tay ing shor ter periods of time and s p e n d i n g l e s s

money. Daily spends are down to US$80 as compared to former levels of $110 in daily spending per day.

Wijaya says this problem will only become more acute if the government in Bali allows more accommodation to be built.

Signs showing a picture of a raised finger over a pair of lips have recently gone up at the immigration hall at the Batam Centre ferry terminal, the New Straits Times daily reports. Travellers say they're being abruptly told to take the

next ferry back to Singapore if caught talking in the queue. Another report says about 50 Singaporeans are being turned away every week for speaking too loudly.

keep order and ensure tourists can hear officers' instructions, says Batam immigration office chief Irwanto Suhaili. The one-hour journey to Batam is popular wi th Singaporean day-trippers, and a return ticket costs about $40 (£24).

Boomer, Fyfe to face tribunalan off-the-ball strike to

Hawthorn gun midfielder Jordan Lewis in the first term of Fremantle's spirited win in Perth.

The around-arm action was graded as intentional, low impact and high contact.

The Harvey incident, which

has been referred directly to the tribunal, has been likened to the choker hold Brian Lake put on Roo Drew Petrie mid-season, which cost the Hawthorn defender a four-match ban.

The tribunal may also consider a 40 per cent loading on any suspension due to Harvey's bad record, casting his hopes of taking on Adelaide in Hobart this weekend and Melbourne in Round 23 in doubt.

In another blow for North, Wells was handed a one-match ban for two incidents with the

BRENT Harvey will be joined at the AFL Tribunal tonight by Nat Fyfe after Fremantle decided to challenge the superstar's two-game ban.

Harvey's availability for North Melbourne's finals campaign rests in the tribunal's hands after the champion Kangaroo was booked for a ser ious misconduct charge on Monday.

Harvey will front the AFL Tribunal at 5pm on Tuesday, his case the first to be heard after the Dockers i n d i c a t e d t h e y w o u l d challenge a striking charge laid against Fyfe.

Freo will hope to clear the midfielder in the hope he can play the club's remaining two home and away fixtures — against Brisbane and Port Adelaide.

North Melbourne's Daniel Wells will miss Saturday 's c lash wi th Adelaide after accepting a one-match ban for rough conduct against Bulldog Shaun Higgins.

But it is Harvey's charge that may threaten his team's assault on the finals.

The 382-gamer faces a stint on the sidelines after he was cited for thrusting his forearm and elbow into the throat of Western Bulldogs tagger Liam Picken as they wrestled on the ground in the Roos' win on Sunday.

The two tangled on the edge of the 50m in the second quarter when Harvey flipped Picken over his back and put his arm to his neck for about three seconds.

Fremantle was also rocked by a two-match suspension to Fyfe.

The Docker was booked for

Dogs' Shaun Higgins. In his first game back from a

serious foot injury, Wells was cited for striking Higgins in the third term, earning 70 carry-over points.

A fourth-quarter rough conduct charge on the same opponent will sideline Wells for

one match with an early guilty plea.

Due to his six-year good record, both incidents c a n b e s e p a r a t e l y downgraded and Wells can escape with a one-match ban if he accepts the charges before lunchtime today.

Under the tribunal guidelines, the points for each of Wells' offences are added together to form a total amount.

Fyfe has a poor record a f t e r r e c e i v i n g a controversial two-match ban for a high bump on Gold Coast's Michael Rischitelli in Round 2. It means Fyfe cannot receive a discount for an early guilty plea and increased his penalty from 220 to 276.25 carry-over points.

The suspension would sideline one of the Dockers' most important players for their last two games of the

season against Brisbane Lions at the Gabba and Port Adelaide at Patersons Stadium.

Lewis was forced from the field after the incident but returned and collected 44 disposals.

In other incidents, Jordan Roughead, Mark Austin, Lindsay Thomas and Aaron Black were all fined for their respective roles in a melee.

Geelong Cats' Mathew Stokes and Brisbane Lions' Pearce Hanley can also each accept $900 for making negligent umpire contact.

Hawks stunned by attacking DockersH A W T H O R N admits i t was s u r p r i s e d b y F r e m a n t l e ' s sudden attacking transformation on the weekend.

After the Dockers kicked 17 goals to humble the Hawks two weeks out from the finals, skipper Luke H o d g e s a i d t h e Dockers had “peaked at the right time of year”.

“ T h e i r p r e s s u r e w a s outstanding, it was almost the Freo of old,” Hodge said on Nova 100.

“A few people have written them off this year but what we seen on Sunday afternoon they were outstanding on their offensive side of things also to kick a score that they did, I can't remember them

kicking that high since Ross has been there.”

Having only arrived back in Melbourne in the early hours of Monday morning following their 19-point loss to Fremantle, McEvoy said Hawks players would be given an easy week on the track to recover.

Ruckman Ben McEvoy has experience under Dockers boss Ross Lyon, having been coached

by him for four years at St Kilda.

The 25-year-old said he was taken aback by the high-scoring, free-flowing c o n t e s t t h a t d e v e l o p e d a t Patersons Stadium on the weekend against the normally defensively minded Dockers outfit.

“They've found some good form, they'll be a force to be reckoned with in finals,” he said.

“I think both teams would have been a bit surprised (with how the game panned out). Both are general ly pret ty good defensive teams but it was pretty free-scoring especially in that first half.

“So I guess it was a little bit surprising.”

Wallabies v All Blacks: Ewen McKenzie names unchanged team for second Bledisloe Cup Test

EWEN McKenzie has stuck solid with Kurtley Beale and the rest of the Wallabies who drew with the All Blacks in Sydney, confident they can get the job done in Bledisloe II in Auckland.

Pleased with t h e a t t a c k i n g adventure show in the rain at ANZ S t a d i u m , t h e Wallabies coach today announced an unchanged 23-man team for the must-win clash with the Kiwis at their imposing fortress E d e n P a r k o n Saturday afternoon.

Beale will be given another chance to steer the team from No. 10 after a slippery night at the office in the series opener, and with no other injuries forcing personnel changes, M c K e n z i e i s b a c k i n g a n improvement in performance — not new faces — to break a 28-year drought at the All Blacks' most fearsome venue.

?“We were impressed with

the pressure we were able to apply in the opening Test and,

despite some errors, were pleased with the intent of the group to continue attacking despite the poor weather cond i t ions , ”

McKenzie said in a release.“I imagine both teams are

excited by the prospect of a dry evening in Auckland on Saturday night, which will have an influence on the way the game is played.

“For us, we know we need to be more clinical in certain areas, but overall we feel the same group of guys deserve the opportunity to have another crack.

“Selection is never easy, although we've made a lot of tough decisions in this space over the past 12 months with the ultimate goal of winning games. You're always looking to improve and I'm

confident the sum of those hard choices has put us in a better position today.

“ W h i l e w e didn't quite get there on Saturday night, I do know that we've made good progress since our first Test against New Zealand a year ago.

“That gives us some confidence heading into what will be an extremely tough challenge in A u c k l a n d o n

Saturday night.”Australia has not won at

Eden Park since 1986, while the All Blacks have won 32 straight games at Eden Park against all opposition dating back to 1994.

“Sporting records are there to be broken and we'll look forward to the opportunity of playing the All Blacks in their own backyard on Saturday night,” McKenzie said.

Indian Contemporary Resto & Bar

Indian food is a clash of personalities. Its royal coz it's a blend of rich spices, than on the other hand its best enjoyed when eaten with hands and the last bit is also licked off.And this combination pulled me back to Atithi. So after trying the butter chicken, rogan josh (yumm mmm), I was prepared to go with the vegetarian way and to try something a little offbeat.Tried papri chat (a blend of yoghurt, mint, tamarind sauce on top of fried crispy dough wafers with a mix of spices and potatoes and.........), Paneer tikka masala (cottage cheese marinated, cooked in tandoor “indian oven” and mixed with curry) along with my favourite chicken biryani. And I couldn’t stop eating till the last bit was finished.

So again Atithi lived up to its reputation and delivered

flavours and taste - Again the perfect place to be quietly

dazzled.

Colossal hangover cure on sale in restaurant

While an erroneous hangover cure on this side of the Atlantic might include a builder's tea, a fried breakfast and some paracetemol, a US diner has invented the ultimate all-American 'hair of the dog' tonic which is topped with a whole fried chicken.

For $50 (£30), a restaurant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, will rustle up the Chicken Fried Bloody Beast, which combines liberal helpings of two supposed hangover cures: the Bloody Mary, and fried meat.

Weighing over 2kg, the concoction served at Sobelman's Pub and Grill's is served in an enormous pitcher, and features four regular Bloody Marys, cheese, sausage, pickles, olives, onion, mushrooms, asparagus, spring onions, shrimp, lemon, Brussels sprouts, tomato, celery, two 'Baconadoes' (skewers of bacon-wrapped jalapeño cheeseballs), all topped with an whole 4lb fried chicken.

If the thought of such gluttony makes your stomach churn, it may help to consider that $5 of every sale of the meal fit-for-four goes to Milwaukee's Hunger Task Force a food charity which works in the area.

Dave “King of the Bloodies” Sobelman, who created the monstrous dish, had previously gained a reputation for gut busting drinks, after he placed an entire cheese burger inside a Blood Mary in 2012.

Kuta Weekly 21 Aug - 27 Aug 2014 (401) Horoscope

Aries Mar 21 - Apr 20There's sometimes something impressive about watching anything settle. Whatever has been unsettled falls into place in its own way and time. Of course, various factors can play a part in how anything settles and this week's developments are likely to hold some degree of influence on what gets agreed or finalized in your world. Don't be resentful of the increasing number of options available to you. Each is integral to helping you make an important and permanent choice. The reality behind a particular situation is about to become clearer. Expect to see how loved, supported and appreciated you are, and how closer a certain bond is than you thought it was.

Taurus Apr 21 - May 21Human beings are erratic creatures. We tend to overlook even ignore others' quirks or behavioral patterns. Sometimes though, we cannot turn a blind eye to problematic issues that exist within close relationships and this week could bring uncomfortable focus on how certain problems outweigh solutions where one such relationship is concerned. A key relationship is changing. A new beginning of some sort is on offer. You can control an outcome to ensure it suits you but for this to happen, someone needs to be more communicative than they have been of late. There are limits to how understanding you're prepared to be but can make progress through making clear you are, at least, understanding!

Gemini May 22 - Jun 22Many science fiction fans are fluent in languages created by writers and producers of science fiction shows and films. This narrows down significantly the number of people whom they could ever hope to converse in such a way with. This week, you might wonder if you're speaking a similar language where you-know-who is concerned. You may struggle to make an important point but if you're willing to let go of something you no longer need, then success is very likely. There is a common denominator available between you and them. You share a goal or ambition of some kind. All that needs to be found is a way forward that you both agree upon and with effort to communicate openly and honestly, this can be found.Cancer Jun 23 - Jul 23People and places connected with far away continue to dominate the focus for the coming week. There is much talk about commitments, agreements that need to be reached and to say more than one plan involving you connecting with or finalizing something with someone who lives or works at a distance is an understatement. A new beginning beckons where you and this person are concerned. An arrangement is about to be made stronger and the process starts this week. It could be a case of absence making the heart grow fonder for some Cancerians. For others, realization of how important one particular person is will be the focal point of the coming week and beyond!

Leo Jun 24 - Aug 23The interesting thing about distancing ourselves from a problem is the problem doesn't go away. Even if we chose to hide behind a curtain or travel hundreds or even thousands of miles, the problem sits right where we left it. Just because we can't see it doesn't mean it isn't examining its nails or sitting with arms folded comfortably waiting for our eventual return. The issue in your world doesn't require you distancing yourself from it. It requires only a tiny bit of courage and preparedness to change. There is something that needs to be faced and whilst this will require courage, it has just as much to do with accepting that a tired situation has had its day. You're moving on in more than one way and are privileged to be doing so with support from others.

Libra Sep 24 - Oct 23We're all familiar with 'Charades'. One player 'acts' out words or phrases by miming similar-sounding words and players guess the words or phrases. This is fun and entertaining when we're participants in a game. It's not such fun when we struggle to make sense of what's told to us on a more serious level. Lately, you've applied guesswork where understanding a sensitive situation is concerned. This week, much-needed information becomes available. It's about to become clear what someone has been trying to convey to you. Expect to have suspicions confirmed and to know what role you'll be playing in terms of providing assistance.

Scorpio Oct 24 - Nov 22Action of any kind will always result in a reaction. We have had it drilled into our heads by parents, teachers and others that, to get any result, we must give every bit of effort we can muster and that results only come through 'hard work'. There is obviously truth in that statement but it doesn't apply universally and this week, the universe makes clear that something you desire is within reach. Your desire and willingness to reach for it might be all that's needed to attain it. Show willingness to take a step forward where you might feel you're 'crossing the line'. It's likely that someone is waiting for you to make the first move or show interest.

Sagittarius Nov 23 - Dec 21Everybody is a critic in some way. It doesn't matter how much time, effort or expense we invest in creating something spectacular, there will always be someone who makes a dismissive or negative comment. The bottom line is, we can't please everybody. This week sees you wanting recognition in some way from certain people or perhaps one person in particular. Just because some people don't feel inclined to applaud doesn't mean they don't appreciate what you have done or are doing. If this involves a particular talent you possess, then expect very soon to have it recognized.

Capricorn Dec 22 - Jan 20Someone once said 'the best way to double your money is to fold it over once and keep it in your pocket'. That person probably was a Capricorn. As keen as you are to enhance your financial status and be reassured that certain situations aren't as precarious as they may appear, you have had much firefighting to do in order to keep wolves from doors and bank managers or accountants satisfied. This week, a surprising shift occurs to bring reassurance you've been waiting for. An opportunity to boost your financial status is about to make itself known to you. This will likely require collaboration on some level but will do much to reassure you.

Aquarius Jan 21 - Feb 19With a little help from your friends – and one in particular – you can expect a surprise of some kind this week. There are surprises of the nice and not-so-nice variety. The sky speaks clearly of the friend-related surprise awaiting you being of the nice variety but you'll have much to consider once certain information is revealed. Be available for someone but also be aware that all might not be as it appears where a close companion is concerned. More discussion is required to get to the bottom of a particular issue and what gets told to you could be very revealing, to say the least.

Virgo Aug 24 - Sep 23It's not difficult to be patient. When we do try to be patient, we tend to experience the most difficulty through wondering if we are doing the 'right thing' by being patient. We wonder if we're wasting our time by investing faith in a process that could lead only to disappointment or failure. This week, an important process begins that intends to reassure you that your faith in a particular development is not misplaced. You will, however, need to remain patient for a little while longer. You could be forgiven for looking around you and believing that everyone else's life is more straightforward or full of opportunity but it is important to accept that you haven't been overlooked or forgotten.

Pisces Feb 20 - Mar 20'An ounce of prevention' according to Benjamin Franklin, 'is worth a pound of cure'. This popular saying means it's better to take time to make sure something doesn't go wrong rather than try to fix it if it does go wrong! A situation in your world needs careful handling. You know this but appear to be struggling to convince certain others of this fact. You can put in place now a contingency plan that you and others will be grateful you had to foresight to put in place. It's important you trust your instincts now. You're likely able to see something someone else cannot and will be able to keep one crucial step ahead in some way.

He has also collaborated with many other musicians, including the duet "Rise & Fall" with Craig David and the number one hit "All for Love", with Bryan Adams and Rod Stewart.

The PoliceIn January 1977, Sting moved from Newcastle upon Tyne to London, and soon thereafter he joined Stewart Copeland and Henry Padovani (who was soon replaced by Andy Summers) to form the new wave band The Police. From 1978 to 1983 they released five chart-topping albums, won six Grammy Awards, and two Brit Awards (for Best British Group, and for Outstanding Contribution to Music). Although their initial sound was punk inspired, the Police soon switched to reggae-tinged rock and minimalist pop. Their last album, Synchronicity, which included their most successful song, "Every Breath You Take", was released in 1983. According to Sting, who appeared in the documentary Last Play at Shea, he decided to leave the Police while onstage during 18 August 1983 concert at Shea Stadium because he felt that playing that venue was "Everest". While never formally breaking up, after Synchronicity the group agreed to concentrate on solo projects. As the years went by, the band members, particularly Sting, dismissed the possibility of reforming. In 2007, however, the band reformed and undertook a world tour.

The Hunting Accident

A guy was hunting when a gust of wind blew, the gun fell over and discharged, shooting him in the genitals.Several hours later, lying in a hospital bed, he was approached by his doctor. "Well, sir, I have some good news & some bad news. The good news is that you are going to be OK. The damage was local to your groin, there was very little internal damage, and we were able to remove all of the buckshot." "What's the bad news?" asked the hunter. "The bad news is that there was some pretty extensive buckshot damage done to your willy which left quite a few holes in it. I'm going to have to refer you to my sister." "Well, I guess that isn't too bad," the hunter replied. "Is your sister a plastic surgeon?"

" Not exactly." answered the doctor.

"She's a flute player in the Boston Symphony Orchestra. She's going to teach you where to put your fingers so you don't pee in your eyes."

Who says men don't remember?

A couple were Christmas shopping. The shopping centre was packed , and as the wife walked through one of the malls she was surprised when she looked around to find that her husband was nowhere to be

seen. She was quite upset because they had a

lot to do and hence, she became so worried that she called him on her mobile

phone to ask him where he was.In a quiet voice he said, "Do you

remember the jewellers we went into about five years ago where you fell in love

with that diamond necklace that we couldn't afford, and I told you that I

would get it for you one day?"

The wife choked up and started to cry and said,

"Yes, I do remember that shop."He replied, "Well, I'm in the pub next

door."
