the 175th Annual Session of the

Wood River Baptist District Association, Incorporate!

We want to thank our host for this Annual Session the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Alton, Illinois jointly hosted by Region 1 Alton area churches with Union Baptist Church in Alton, the oldest standing member of Wood River Baptist District Association, for all of the hard work that they have done to make this milestone session a great success! The theme for this year, “Transparency in Service..175 Years of Serving” causes me to pause and thank God for the many years of service that members have given this association.

We know that nothing is too hard for our God! He has been with us through-out the many years. 175 years is a long time of gathering to praise the Lord, study His word, and fellowship… and I thank God for this opportunity to meet again!

All of our praying and planning as led us to this week. I pray that you allow the Holy Spirit to speak to you through the banquet celebration, your class, the lec-tures and sermons.

Please welcome our Lecturer, the Rev. Michael Coleman, Pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church of Waterloo, Iowa. Let us all pray for him as he brings to us the word of God.
