It gives you the generation and savings/revenue analysis for your solar PV power plant

Details of number of units of electricity that would be generated from that plant, monthly/annually

Savings or revenue for next 25 years (which depends on your electricity tariff or Power Purchase Agreement )

The method of module placement varies with the type of roof

While on a flat roof, we are able to follow Optimum Tilt of the panel easily, panels on a tilt roof are mostly mounted at the angle of roof tilt itself.

A solar plant in India would generate maximum when it is facing true South direction

Orientation of the building has a direct impact on the generation

For a country in Southern Hemisphere, the panels need to face true North direction

Most common shadow casting objects and obstacles are nearby building, pipelines, parapet walls, trees, stubs, ventilators and water tanks.

Shadow objects may reduce the generation and effect the planned module area.

Shadow analysis is done to find the shadow free area for most of the daytime hours in all seasons.

Shadow analysis is done by simulating the Shadow objects in the software.

Final optimises layout

Optimum tilt is necessary to maximise the total radiation received by the panels.

The optimum tilt and the distance between the module rows depends on the geographical location of the site.

Tilt also has an impact on inter row shading. Therefore we also need to be careful about maintaining an optimum distance between the module rows to avoid inter-row shading.

Pitch distance varies with the site location

Final optimises layout

The number of modules that can be placed in the available shadow free area depends on the area available and the dimensions of the module.

Module placement is done once we have the shadow free area, optimum tilt and the pitch distance.

The actual capacity that can be accommodated is known after module placement.

Yield generation report is simulated to get the annual energy generation, losses associated with the various configuration of the tilt angle, orientation and row spacing.

Final optimised layout

Final optimised layout is prepared by considering the economically optimised module arrangement with balance of systems.

Balance of system consists of Inverters, Lightning protection system, weather monitoring system, etc.

Layout is planned with minimum cable runs and associated electrical losses, also considering access route.
