SUSAN unzips her backpack to pull out a granola bar. HOST SUSAN didn’t have time for breakfast, so she looked through her backpack for a granola bar. But as she looked through her backpack, her elbow hit Karen. It was an accident and SUSAN didn’t even know she did it. Karen didn’t say or do anything about it. She begins to unwrap the granola bar, and then stops. She starts to frantically go through her backpack. As she unzips and pokes through the bag, she continues to poke Karen. HOST But all of a sudden, SUSAN remembered that she had to bring her money in for the field trip and today was the last day. Her mom put an envelope with the money inside on the kitchen table last night. Did she remember to put it inside her backpack? As she looked through her backpack, her elbow kept poking Karen. SUSAN wasn’t paying attention and Karen thought she was doing it on purpose and got mad. So she decided to poke SUSAN back with her elbow. SUSAN got mad and poked Karen on purpose. But there are lots of things you can do to solve a problem without fighting. HOST Fighting is never fun and it’s not safe, either. So, let’s learn about good ways to solve problems. HOST Lots of times people get mad at things, even when they don’t know what really happened. And then they can blame and call names. HOST When you “blame” it makes people mad and that can cause fights. INT. KITCHEN OR OTHER ROOM Mike entering the house through the front door. Mike grabbed some race cars off the table. MIKE These are mine. You took them without asking. ALEX No I didn’t. MIKE Yes you did! ALEX They’re not yours. MIKE Yes they are. You took them. ALEX No I didn’t. ANIMATED SEGMENT Greeny still chasing Dotty. They end up on either side of the bench. Greeny moves one way, Dotty moves the opposite. HOST When you blame it can cause a fight. What could Mike have done so there wouldn’t be a fight? (pause) Well, he could find out about what’s going on. He could ask questions. Let’s see how that could work. Here’s Mike asking a question, first. Two different monsters hold up signs. One says “Ask”, the other “Questions”. CUT TO INT. KITCHEN Mike comes walking in. He stops, then asks a question. MIKE What are you guys doing?
