LEADING DURING TRANSITION Transition time is where the battle of change is fought and

either won or lost. so great leadership skills is required to business survives.

Research shows that 75 percent of change initiatives fail. Why? Managing change requires leaders to deal effectively with both the structural side of leading change and the human dynamic of transition.

Leaders must constantly monitor their environment and adjust their leadership skills to match the new demands.

There are some basic leadership characteristics which make transition successful

Define “Change” as an opportunity In broader context people perceive change as loss and which is also certified by Psychologist. People/business are reluctant about the changes until as a leader you convey the benefits of change to the employees and stakeholders. Help your employees recognized the opportunity before them. Align those with company goals and forge ahead with a renewed sense of purpose.

Transition brings out the best in employees, giving them the opportunity to step-up and embrace new challenges.

So Knock down the obstacles together, stumble together, and succeed together. Then, celebrate together.

Be Transparent and focus on Goal Transition feel like chaos and uncertainty, every one in front of you is a question mark even though some time you also feels what is going on and how to over come this situation so they adapt a different paces and in various ways, depending upon the circumstances and the individual

So as a leader you should focus on Goal and be transparent so that the intentions for the transition are understood by the entire team. It is important for employees to understand that management is not acting in an arbitrary or  capricious manner.

Your staff should feel free to express there feelings regardless of whether or not you agrees with them. If you can keep the team focused on your guiding principles and your overall goal, then you can create a positive, upward force that is truly unstoppable.

So Be transparent and speak with integrity.

As leaders we tend to have higher points of visibility across our companies, so look for opportunities to remove obstacles or shift a challenge into a possibility for your team to achieve their goals, where it makes sense.

secure. A lack of information makes people anxious. And if you don’t give people the facts, they will make up their own. Clear and consistent communication can be time-consuming and challenging, but there is no substitute for it.

Clear communication will make your employees understand what their part in the change will be and how it will affect them.

Agility is fundamental to leading a team through times of change. Build an environment that empowers your team to take risks.

As a leader you need to lead different personalities, priorities and goals. so use the big vision to guide conversations and staffing decisions. Help all sides to recognize that their contributions matter and are critical to achieving the larger company objectives.
