Kathrin Baum-Höfer Vita I am Kathrin Baum-Hoefer and I was born in Spremberg / Germany. I have two children, a daughter, Sophie and a son Marten. From 1982-1987 I study at the School of Dance Leipzig and danced as a soloist with Erich-Weinert- Ensemble in Berlin. The repertoire included the classical ballets through to contemporary modern dance. In 1999 I began studying to become a physiotherapist and graduated in 2002 from this. Since 2007 I work as a ballet teacher at the State Ballet School Berlin. My degree a diploma in ballet pedagogue I acquired in 2009 at the Academy of Performing Arts in Mannheim with Birgit Keil and Vladimir Klos. I teach at different age’s classical dance, repertoire and gymnastics. I lead many samples of the school repertoire, including The Little Prince, Le Corsaire, Midsummer Night's Dream, Chopiniana, Romeo and Juliet, The Nutcracker for performances at the Berlin State Ballet. I prepared many Students for national and international competitions. I teached in some summer intensive programs in Salt Lake City University of Utah and at the American Academy of Ballet in New York. Besides my work at a ballet pedagogue I am responsible at a decisive point for the organization of the State Ballet School Berlin.
