Who are we?
• We are the ‘new generation’ of poppy sellers supporting the national Poppy Appeal Collection
• The main collection team comprises retired veterans from across the Capital (dressed in suits and medals) alongside serving members of HM Forces (in uniform), supported by Royal British Legion staff
• Also collecting on the streets with us are other national military (eg USA), organisations and personalities (eg police, students, MPs, Widows’ Associations etc), as well as other members of the general public who support our cause
• In 2011 we will be joined by 4 military bands and numerous pipers

What do we do?
Centred around rush hours, we collect across the Capital at:
• London's main train terminals
• Central underground Tube stations
• The financial district of Canary Wharf
• Leadenhall Market, Spitalfields, Covent Garden and Paternoster Square at lunchtime
LONDON POPPY DAY 2011
Stations with poppies indicate where we collected in 2010; more stations are planned for 2011
LONDON POPPY DAY 2011
In order to achieve our target, we seek maximum publicity for all that we do
LONDON POPPY DAY 2011
Why do we do it?
• All service charities need our generation’s support
• Royal British legion funds increasingly going to the ‘Iraq/Afghan Generation’ who will require ongoing support for many years to come
• We all know people and families affected
