2014 SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

A WINE TASTING EVENT BENEFITING:

Page 2: Luke Donald's 6th Annual Taste of The First Tee Sponsorship Opportunities

Each year, over 300 golf and wine enthusiasts join local PGA TOUR Player and Wine Producer, Luke Donald for a spectacular Gourmet Wine Tasting Dinner to

benefit The First Tee of Greater Chicago, a youth development organization that teaches character education and life skills through the game of golf.

This premier wine event features a tasting of dozens of wines and spirits selected from the Terlato Wine Group’s Global Portfolio and the Luke Donald Collection paired with one-of-a-kind exquisite dishes from the selected wine’s region.

A spectacular view overlooking the 18th Fairway and Green at North Shore Country Club, during the Encompass Championship Week, will set the stage and create the perfect ambiance for sipping wine and visiting with the many Champions TOUR players who will be in attendance this year.

Of course, it’s not all about the wine… Luke will entertain the crowd in a special Q & A Golf Talk with invited guests and players. This portion of the evening truly excites golf fans who will get a once in life time opportunity to hear the Pros share their insights on the game, stories from the tour and much more.

Past years guests included: Jack Nicklaus, David Feherty, Tim Finchem, Steve Stricker, Mark Wilson, Ben Crenshaw, Chip Beck, Bill Haas and Scott McCarron.

The First Tee is an international youth development initiative of the World Golf Foundation and is supported by the leading organizations in golf. The First Tee of Greater Chicago, a 501 (c) 3 organization, is one of nearly two hundred chapters

located throughout the country and in five international locations dedicated to impacting the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.

In 2014, the Greater Chicago chapter’s golf and character education programs will reach an estimated 15,000+ young people. The programs are taught in Chicago area elementary schools, boys and girls clubs, YMCA’s and at golf courses including: Foss Park GC (North Chicago), Glenwoodie GC (Glenwood), Cog Hill (Lemont) and Chicago Park District golf facilities.

The First Tee of Greater Chicago has received several accolades in recent years including Golf Digest’s 2012 Junior Development Award, the 2013 USGA Player for Life Award and most recently earned The First Tee Network’s Ace Level distinction placing it in the top 1% of all chapters. Each year The First Tee home office uses a scorecard system to grade chapters in the areas of nonprofit management, programming and financial health.

AChampion for TFTGC, Luke Donald Serves as its Honorary Chairman and has directly helped raise over $1,000,000

for the charity through the annual wine tasting event, personal contributions and a host of other charitable ways.

Luke’s impact with the charity extends beyond fundraising to the young people it serves. As one Eagle Level participant wrote to the chapter: “I am so grateful to Luke Donald and his family for their dedication to the game of golf, but more importantly to First Tee participants like myself.”

A Champion on Tour, Luke ascended to the top of the World Rankings in 2011, a position he held for 55 weeks. He made history by becoming the first player ever to finish number 1 on both the PGA TOUR and European Tour money lists in the same season, and won Player of the Year honors on both Tours. Despite his hectic global schedule, home with his wife, Diane, and their two young daughters, is where Luke loves to be most.

ABOUT LUKE DONALD

This signature event is an ideal networking opportunity with a substantial, sophisticated audience who are passionate about the game of golf and intrinsic values associated with the game.

Our sponsors will join Luke and his special guests from the PGA TOUR and Champions TOUR one hour before the main event for a private pre-party VIP reception that features passed gourmet hors d’oeuvres and an exclusive tasting of special vintages that won’t be available for the rest of the evening.

Earlier in the day, sponsors will attend a private golf clinic hosted by Luke and Northwestern University Director of Golf, Pat Goss. After learning how to hit it like Luke, players will take to the course for 18 challenging holes at a nearby Private Golf Club.

The Taste of The First Tee also provides the Presenting Sponsor the exclusive opportunity to reward clients and employees with a VIP experience and to showcase a product or service (subject to TFTGC approval) during the event, developing new customer prospects.
