M Hometown KokuraKokura is a city in Northern Kyushu that has many places that tourists can visit.

The most famous place in Kokura is Riverwalk.

This is a new shopping center that has many shops, restaurants and even a movie theatre.

Riverwalk was built next to the main river in Kokura about eight years ago and this is why it is called Riverwalk.

There are many famous brand shops there like Gap and Tommy Hilfiger.

Another famous place for tourists to visit in Kokura is Kokura Castle.

The castle was originally built by Hosokawa Tadaoki in 1602.

The castle has a Japanese style garden and beautiful cherry trees that attract many people during spring when the cherry blossom is in full bloom.

A third tourist spot in Kokura is Keibajo.

This is a racecourse and it holds horse racing events throughout the year.

People travel from all over Kyushu to watch horse racing and to socialize with their friends at Keibajo.

Kokura has thousands of visitors every year and is now becoming one of the most famous tourist places in Kyushu.
