• The Swedish Coast Guard have through the Secretariat coordinated joint workgroup activities, communication & dissemination and financial activities
• 10 actively participating countries: Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden and Russia as associated partner
• 26 public authorities within target areas (24 as Partners)
• Around 100 active participants in the project

Based on the concept of designated Action Work Groups (AWG:s) the recommendations from MARSUNO should be implemented according to the proposed Action plan:
• Establish Common standards and Standard Operational Procedures (SOP)

• Willingness and trust promoting measures (for instance Heads of Coast Guard)
• Establish common sector wise area description by use of risk analysis for promoting allocation of operational resources

• Develop, extend and actor adapt the single window principle relevant to the maritime sectors
• Technical harmonisation or integration of support systems (possibility to conduct the work through designated topic sub-work groups

• Integration and compilation of data/information from maritime related sources
• Approach for integrating already adopted plans for operative and planning purposes into existing frameworks – both nationally and internationally
