Last week all classes enjoyed one day together with their teacher and

classmates. It was a wonderful opportunity and thoroughly enjoyed by

all. We look forward to classes meeting again throughout this week.

Current learning timetables and social distancing guidelines remain in

place. We will communicate any changes with you.

Semester 2 Reports

Due to the changed learning conditions this year we will adopt a re-

vised approach to assessment and reporting and as a result Semester 2

reports will be modified. This Semester a simplified report will provided

to families. It will describe the learning that has taken place this year

and also provide guidance on future learning needs. An A-E scale will

not be used as a descriptor of student learning.

This Thursday, the 21st of May, I will hold another online meeting via

Zoom for parents and carers. This will be an opportunity to discuss

changes to the assessment and reporting process. We value feedback

and, particularly at this time, the opportunity to understand the needs

of our community so that we can work together to support our stu-

dents in their learning. If you would like to be involved please call the

office or email moruya-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au before 3pm on

Thursday for the meeting details and access.

New Roof

Over the next few weeks there will be construction workers on site to

replace the roof over I Block (The largest K-2 Building). This is not work

that can be postponed. Given the current situation, I would like to as-

sure you that social distancing guidelines will be enforced. This week

scaffolding will go up around the building followed by the removal and

replacement of the roof in the following weeks. There are strict safety

guidelines in place to ensure the safety of all staff and students. Classes

will be temporarily relocated throughout the duration of the works

when necessary.
