Mount Pleasant Community Centre Association (MPCCA)

Mount Pleasant Community Centre is jointly operated by the Mount Pleasant Community Centre Association (MPCCA) and the Vancouver Park Board. The MPCCA’s mission is to encourage, promote and support the educational, cultural, social and physical well-being of the people of the Mount Pleasant community. Our volunteer Board meets monthly providing advocacy for programs, events and services, both at the centre and in the community. We welcome all members of the public to become involved in our community and participate as a director and/or on our Committees (Childcare, Community Outreach, Parks, Pool and Program). For more information or to have a director return your call, please contact Brenda Tang at 604-257-3070.

MOUNT PLEASANT OUTDOOR POOL IS COMING BACK!

On October 28, 2019, Park Board voted unanimously to return outdoor swimming to Mount Pleasant, and the pool that closed in 2009 will be replaced.

Thank you to all who advocated for and supported our pool over the years. The Pool Committee has remained steadfast in our goal to replace the outdoor swimming pool per the direction laid out by the community through public consultation. The Mount Pleasant Community has raised over $111,000 for this facility that will be funded primarily through Park Board Capital Funds. Tax deductible donations to the Pool Replacement Fund c/o the Mount Pleasant Community Centre Association are welcome. Your continued patience and support is appreciated while the renewal process unfolds.

We look forward to welcoming you to the opening day pool party!
