For more informa on or to apply, contact Kathleen Flanagan, COO at [email protected] or 760-231-8403.

PROPHETIC ANOINTING

The solemnity of today’s readings invites us into si-lent contempla on of the mystery of our redemp on. There are so many levels on which to understand the events of the Passion. The woman who anoints Jesus acts prophe cally in a way that the other disciples do not yet grasp. Anoin ng is for priests, prophets, and kings, and also for the prepara on of the dead. It is for healing and for holiness. Her ac on acknowledges the imminent events of the passion and death of the Lord, and points toward his resurrec on and triumph over evil and death. He is priest and vic m, prophet and God, King and Lord. All these things are acknowledged in her prophe c anoin ng.

Ayúdanos a aferrarnos a esa espe-ranza.

Amen.
