ANZAC DAY INFORMATION
Mungindi Central School students from Preschool
to Year 12 who wish to march at the ANZAC Day
commemorations are asked to meet Ms Blaker at
the front of the RSL club on Thursday 25 April from
10:15 am. Students are to be in full school
uniform including hats. It would be wonderful to
see as many students in school uniform and in
attendance as possible.
From the Principal, Staff and Students at Mungindi Central
School, we wish you all a Happy Easter. Please remember
to stay safe during the school holidays, especially if you are
travelling the roads. We are looking forward to seeing you
all again on Tuesday 30 April, 2019.

PRESCHOOL CAPERS
We have been continuing to reinforce having a healthy lifestyle with obstacle courses each morning,
reminders to drink water and looking at everyday and sometimes foods in our lunch boxes and
eating healthy snacks. We taste tested healthy dairy drinks of banana and strawberry smoothies – as
next term the children can purchase these smoothies for 50c or just a cup of milk for 20c. I have
provided information about drinking water which we have been explaining to the children.
Easter was our general undercurrent this week, with Easter songs, stories and craft available for the
children to participate in. Yesterday we had a big Easter Celebration Day. We went to the Town
Library to read Easter books and sing Easter songs with other members of the community. Then all the
community were invited back to preschool to join in play, craft, songs, Easter hat parade and egg
hunt. In the afternoon we were lucky to have another Easter Hat parade when Mungindi Central
School Primary students and parents visited us.
REMINDER THAT TODAY IS PRESCHOOLERS LAST DAY. Friday 12 April is a pupil free day for Preschool
students. Preschool students can return to school on Wednesday 1 May.
CentreCare:- Each Wednesday we are learning from the CentreCare staff. We will continue the
sessions from Wednesday 1 May from 10:30 am - 11:00 am.
Friday 10 May:- Mother’s Day High Tea.

Preschool Educator
STAGE 4 STUDENT LAPTOP PROGRAM
Stage 4 students will have access to new Chromebooks (a type of
laptop) for their school studies. Students and their families will
need to sign an agreement with the school before a
Chromebook will be assigned. A deposit of $50 is required for
each laptop. $30 of this is refunded to families at the end of the
contract agreement, and $20 is to be used by the school for
ongoing maintenance of the device.
Contracts will be sent out for parents and students to sign by the
end of term, and Chromebooks will be used from Term 2 onwards.

STUDENT LUNCHES
If your child forgets their lunch, or you are running late, their lunches must
be dropped at the Administration Office for delivery to the student. Under
no circumstances are parents to deliver the lunches to the classrooms. This
is to ensure that there is no disruptions to the classrooms so students can
have the best possible learning experience.
