SEMESTER 1 TERM 1 2018 WEEK 9 - 29 MARCH 2018

STAGE 6 VISUAL DESIGN AND CREATIVE ARTS

This term has seen Senior CAPA students learning about how and why

memories have been recorded in art and history. As a group we have looked

at rock art, tapestries, portraiture, and social media as a means of keeping

memories safe, as well as sharing them with those we love. Our unit is

culminating with the creation of a scrapbooked Family Album. This

assessment task is due next Friday. Students are creating an awesome and

varied array of albums utilising paper, ICT, metals, and dyeing techniques.

Congratulations to our award recipients for our

week 8 assembly. Our next assembly is on

Thursday 5th April at 2pm. We hope you can

COLES SPORTS FOR SCHOOL

This term Mungindi Central School has registered for the Coles Sports for Schools program. This program

will give us an opportunity earn sports gear by just collecting vouchers from Coles.

Parents, families and friends of Mungindi Central School please continue to show support for our school

participation in the Coles Sports for School program. The program will give us an opportunity to earn

sport gear by collecting the vouchers from Coles. Vouchers can be dropped off either at our

Administration Office, Preschool or in our school collection box at Coles supermarket in Moree.


HIDE-OUT CAFE

Every day, Hide-Out Café

will be offering bottles

of water for $1.50 from

8:30 pm before class and

from 1:30 pm to 1:50 pm

(Late Break).

They will also have Zooper

Dooper’s for sale from 1:30

pm to 1:50 pm (Late

Break) for 50 cents each.

A reminder that Mungindi Central School has a

No Hat No Play Policy. Please ensure that your

child is sent to school with a hat. Hats are

available for purchase from the Administration

Office for $15.

We are currently seeking donations of:

clean 2 litre and 3 litre milk bottles with lids

(Stage 6 Igloo).

Please bring donations to the Administration

Office.


Mungindi Little Athletics AGM will be held on

Tuesday 10 April, 2018 from 4:00 pm at the Jolly

Swagman Hotel. All positions on the Committee

will be declared vacant. These are Centre

Manager, Secretary, Treasurer, Programming

Coordinator and Tiny Tots Coordinator. A

quorum of 12 members is required. Any

questions please contact Julie Scriven on
