Samaritano today concentrates itsministry on providing high quality Christianeducation for children in the poor and mostly ruralbarrio of Nejapa, a suburb of the capital, Managua. The June team was comprised of 17 membersincluding 7 youth. It was great to have pairs offather/son, father/daughter, mother/son and amother/daughter. Including the parents, there werein all 10 women and 7 men. The team performed a great amount of needed work for the team's host, Fundacion ElSamaritano, interacted with a very large number of Nicaraguan children, ministered to the sickand disabled, and did very well in addressing the team's mission statement of "BuildingChristian Relationships". DEVELOPING AND IMPLEMENTING AND OUTWARD MINDSET September 1415, 2015

In the 1970s, a team of scholars led by philosopherC. Terry Warner embarked on an exploration into acore problem at the heart of the human sciences the problem of selfdeception. The researchexplored how we end up creating and sustainingproblems we don't know we are causing, and howand why people resist helpful solutions. Over the years that research has led the ArbingerInstitute to discover the clear and surprising waythat people begin to evade responsibility withoutthinking that they are doing so, and therefore endup blaming others or circumstances they, themselves, are helping to create. More

importantly, they have discovered how this can be corrected. District Superintendent Brian Brown became a Certified Arbinger Facilitator in May and wantsto share with you what he calls "a training opportunity that can exponentially change yourministry and every relationship you have been blessed to be a part of." In this workshop, Brian will help you explore in detail how it is that we can end up in an inwardmindset and the implications of that in our work and how it impacts all of our relationships. You'll learn to move to an outward mindset, that of helping others be successful, and thedramatic results that can occur as a result. The training will be September 1415 at Hartzell United Methodist Church. The ideal groupnumber is 25 so be sure to register before all the spots are taken. The ORV District willsupplement the training cost of $140 by paying $65 towards the total, making your final costjust $75. This fee includes Arbinger's books, Leadership and SelfDeception and the Anatomy ofPeace, a continental breakfast and lunch both days, and a workbook. Register now byclicking here .
