HERE COMES SUMMER . . . There may well still be a frost in the morning but here
at FROTH we are already thinking about the
Summer. In response to parent's views we have
decided to hold a more informal Summer Party this
year instead of our usual Black Tie Ball. The evening
will comprise of a BBQ, our fundraising auction and a
disco. The event will be held at Surrey Downs Golf
Club which, as many of you know, is the perfect place
for a summer BBQ. The Party will be held on Friday
10th June and will begin at 7.30 pm. Tickets cost £25
per person and will include a welcome drink and BBQ
supper. These tickets are strictly limited and will be
available on a first come first served basis. So if you
want to come please complete your ticket application
which is on Page 4 of this newsletter. Froth
The Big Pedal Our participation in The Big Pedal is
going well so far. After just 3 days
Tadworth had completed 280 journeys
and so we have made a really good
start. We still need as many children as
possible to take part as currently both
Walton-on-the-Hill and Kingswood
Primary are beating us! Please see the chart on the
Front Reception Desk to see our position. The race
lasts until 25 March and so there is still time to
catch up! Lots more about the race is available on
The Big Pedal website: www.thebigpedal.org.uk. SS

SPORTS UPDATE Our Tadworth sports teams have been busy competing in various matches and tournaments over the last
couple of weeks and as usual they have done us proud. They have all played extremely well and demonstrated
good sportsmanship throughout.
3rd March - Girls Football Tournament If points were awarded for effort and determination, our girls would have won the tournament hands down -
sadly it comes down to goals and that ball just didn't want to go in the net! Still, the girls had a good time and
gained some very valuable match experience.
3rd March - Tag Rugby Finals Having qualified to go through to the Tag Rugby Finals a couple of weeks ago, our team went along to
Old Reigations to play against 7 of the best teams in East Surrey. They played brilliantly as a team and came joint 1st in their group, sending them through to the semi finals. In
the end they came 3rd overall, which is a fantastic achievement. They only just missed out on qualifying to
represent East Surrey in the Regional Finals.
9th March - Netball Friendlies Both our A and B teams played against Kingswood and Walton this week. Their game is really improving now
and I am excited to see how they will get on in the upcoming NDC tournament on 21st March (letters coming
soon!). The B team were only narrowly defeated by one goal in each of their games and the A team were victorious in both of their games. Results were as follows:
Tadworth A vs Kingswood 4 - 1 Tadworth B vs Kingswood 2 - 3
Tadworth A vs Walton 7 - 0 Tadworth B vs Walton 1 - 2
10th
March - Yr 6 Football Both Tadworth teams played very consistently yesterday. The results from all 4 games were 0-1 (unfortunately
they weren’t wins, but we won’t focus on that!). The final game Tadworth vs Tadworth proved rather confusing for the ref, as we were all in the same colour! However, we did score some goals at last and Tadworth came
away with a 2-0 win!!
Once again, thank you so much to all the parents for transporting and supporting the children, it is always
hugely appreciated. LW
11 March 2011 Dear FROTH -- PTA Supporter SUMMER PARTY – FRIDAY
10TH
JUNE 2011
In response to feedback we have received from parents at the school we have decided to make this year’s summer event a more informal party rather than black tie ball. The event will once again be held at Surrey Downs Golf Club but will be a Summer Party with BBQ and dancing. Tickets for this event will cost £25 per person and will include a welcome drink and BBQ supper. Payment by instalment is available, if preferred. As in other years though, we hope to have our auction with “money can’t buy items” up for grabs. As most of you know this summer event is our main FROTH – PTA fundraiser so it wouldn’t be a summer party without the auction! The evening will commence at 7.30 pm and end at 12 midnight. Tickets for the party are limited and are on a strictly first come first served basis. So, if you are interested please return the form below to Mrs Marshall at Front Reception, along with your payment asap. Many thanks and we look forward to seeing you there. Yours sincerely FROTH -- Tadworth Primary PTA
