Inter HouseSpellingChampionship
Inter House Power Point Presentation Competition
With the motive to help the
students improve their spellings,
enhance their vocabulary, learn
concepts and develop use of
correct English, DPS Gaya
organized an Inter House Spell-
ing Championship on 15th
July 2017 for the students of
primary wing. The tiny tots
participated earnestly in the
competition and also learnt to
spell quickly,accurately and with
comprehension. The competi-
tion was won by Ashoka House.
DPS Gaya organized an Inter House Power Point Presentation on 22nd July for the students of the Senior Wing to enhance their skill of using information technology and to develop the art of public speaking. Some of the chosen topics that were creatively presented and discoursed by the participants were “Advantages and Disadvantages of Social Networking”, “Top Ten Discoveries of the Decade”, “Compulsory Sports on Schools” etc. The students put up a great effort and show cased exemplary presentation and creativity through different slides. The winner of thecompetition was Buddha House.

Inter House Poem Recitation
Inter House Maths Quiz
The students of Classes IV & V
enthralled all the spectators with their
amazing style of recitation during the
Inter House Poem Recitation Competi-
tion, which was held on 22nd July. They
chose some of the excellent themes like
Nature, Mother, Happiness, Seasons etc.
and matched their props accordingly.
Though all the participants won heart of
the audience, but it was the Chanakya
House which bagged the 1st prize.
The Inter House Maths Quiz was conducted on 15th July, 2017 in which the students of classes IV and V participated and proved their mettle. All the parties solved the questions enthusiastically.The quiz comprised of many interesting rounds like virtual round, buzzer round, pictures round and rapid fire rounds. The speed and comprehension skill was tested in the rapid fire round. Some questions were also kept for the audience. Aryabhatta House bagged the 1st prize.

Inter House Shloka PrastutikaranCompetition
Show & Tell Competition: Class Nursery
With a view to bring the blooming
buds to the great epics of our country
and enhance their spiritual wealth,
DPS Gaya organized a ‘Sanskrit Shloka
Chanting Competition on 22nd July
in the school premises. The students
recited Sanskrit Shlokas from various
scriptures. Marks were awarded to the
students on several criteria like presen-
tation skill, confidence, relevance,
pronunciation and memory. The
students of Aryabhatta House got
1st Rank.
The Show and Tell Competition was held on 6th July for class Nursery students where the students participatedenthusiastically and showed their talent by telling about any particular object which enhanced their gross motor skill.

Spoon &Lemon Race
Activity on the concept of TENS
and ONES was conducted in
Class I on 21st July 2017. This
activity helps students to
undestand the concept of
Place Value.
A Spoon and Lemon Race was conducted for Class 1students on 20th July 2017 to develop the balance skill and gross motor skill ofchildren. All sections of Class 1 participated in this fun filled game.

Season Activity - Cloud Making for Pre - Nursery students
Musical Chair Race was organized
for Class Prep. students on 19th July
2017 in order to develop the con-
centration ability, competitive urge
as well as the immediate responding
ability of the children.
The Season Based Cloud Making Activity was
done to develop the fine-motor skill of the
preschoolers on 17th July 2017.

Paper Craft Bird Making Activity
English PoemRecitation Competition
The Paper Craft Bird Making Activity was done on
15th July to develop the fine motor skills of the
Prep class students.
The students of Classes I, II and III participated in an
‘English Poem Recitation Competition’ on 7th July
where their ideas and feelings were accentuated with
the use of distinctive style and rhythm.

Back to Back Balloon Race
This race was organized for class II
students on 31st July 2017. It was a
competition which was a mixture of
balance and coordination. In this
competition, the competitors had
to carry the balloons at their backs
without using their hands. It was a pair
activity where coordination and
balance was the key factor. The
students enjoyed the race with utmost
fun and excitement.
Balance Game
The balance game was a fun filled sport activity
was organized for the students of class Pre-Nursery
and Nursery on 17thJune to inculcate the sense of
balance in them.

DPS Gaya hosted Inauguration of Res-
cue and Relief Team of Sahastra Seema
Bal, Gaya at its campus on 29th July. The
Team presented live demo of specialist
rescue response during natural or
man - made disasters. Sri Jitendra
Srivastav, Commissioner, Magadh
Division, Sri Kumar Ravi, D.M. Gaya,
Smt Garima Malik, SSP Gaya, Sri Ashok
Singh, I.G., SSB, Commandant and
other officers of SSB were present on
this occasion.
Inter House Maths Expo Competition
An Inter House Maths Expo Competition
was organised by the Mathematics
department for classes VI to X to foster
the Numerical Ability, Critical Thinking
and Demonstrative Power of the students.
The participants beguiled the audience
by putting up a live demonstration of an
array of mathematical tricks and
experiments. Aryabhatta House emerged
as the winner, scoring the maximum
points from judges.
