was held at MICT for our employees. It was organised through Medi-check and included a general physical examination.

This camp is eagerly awaited by our employees. They get an update on their medical score card, which makes them more aware of their health and we can take precautions to protect our most valuable asset: OUR PEOPLE.

Safety week

Safety week commenced on 4th March 2018. Activities were scheduled to increase awareness within our employees and vendor staff on safety and security. We were overwhelmed by their enthusiastic response.

Recognising our women leaders

At MICT, we celebrated Women’s Day by organising an event in which women participated in various competitions like dancing, drama and singing and even games they participated. We provided training to them on industrial, road and home safety.

Training on hazardous material (HAZ MAT)

MICT organized 2 days of training on HAZ MAT through Anglo-Eastern Shipping Management Ltd. The

training programme was conducted by Mr Girish Munjal, who has more

than 35 years of experience in the shipping and port industry. Altogether, 15 executives attended the training programme where they learned effective ways to handle hazardous cargo.

First aid training

Safety being of paramount importance at the CFS, we organise continuous training and disseminate information to all team members. A training program on first aid was conducted by Dr Parker from M/s Medi-check for our employees and other stakeholders. The participants were trained to provide first aid in an emergency or accident

IG International has launched Stemilt apples, packed at Hansen Fruit Company, a Yakima-based high-quality

grower, packer and shipper. The first container of Stemilt apples packed by Hansen Fruit Company, which was recently acquired by Stemilt Growers, was unveiled at MICT on 4th June 2018. Dignitaries Ms Aloma Fernandes from CMA CGM, Mr Dhruv Kotak, Jt. Managing Director of J M BAXI GROUP and Mr Adam Branson, Senior Agricultural attaché in Mumbai, Office of Agricultural Affairs, Foreign Agricultural Service, United States Department of Agriculture, were present for the unveiling ceremony.

Commenting on the launch of Stemilt apples, Mr Tarun Arora, Director of IG International Pvt Ltd, said, “I deeply want to congratulate Hansen family on this occasion of the arrival of the first container to India. I also would like to thank our partners CMA CGM and J M BAXI GROUP for helping us make this first container arrival so memorable. A big special thanks to the entire Stemilt team. I wish luck and success in future to both Stemilt Growers and Hansen Orchards.”

Adam Branson shared that “Today’s celebration is about the promise and potential of the Indian market for apples from the State of Washington. It is also a tribute to the success
